The War in the Country: How the Fight to Save Rural Life Will Shape Our Future : Pawlick, Thomas F: desertcart.ae: Books Review: This was an interesting read, with many parallels in the US, despite the fact that it is discussing Canada. I find it rather ironic though, that after discussing the problems with government involvement in agriculture, his solution to the problem is just a variation on what already exists. He cannot even conceive of getting government OUT of the problem entirely. He builds up the whole structure of the failure of government involvement and the problems it caused, but then proposes more of the same as a solution. Worth the read, up to the last chapter. Review: Bought for dad as a gift and he loved it, went out and bought another book from this author.
