This book is so inspiring! It breaks the limitations of needing to be precise with measurements and perfection. It helps you throw caution to the wind and simply draw what you envision, creating something absolutely beautiful as the end result. I highly recommend this book!

An amazing book with lots of great step by step and practical information. So many art books take a lesson through a series of steps until they get close to the end and show you the finish product with no explanation of how they got from the second last to last step. Typically that information gap is huge, but not with Albert. He takes the time to fill in the blanks that are so often missing. He is a great teacher and the book itself is beautiful to look at. Very pleased with this book and highly recommend for everyone from beginning artists through those that may be further along as his style is unique and the results are beautiful.

Great book, clean and loaded with content and QR codes to watch demonstrations. My favorite art book.

The layout of this book is exceptional. The graphics illustrator has done an excellent job walking you through his process while encouraging and teaching you not just the concept but also the basics of this graphic design art form. His style is encouraging, drawing you into the frame helping you to look beyond the static building to help it come to life. Very beginner friendly.

Great illustrations, good resource on how to!

The book is outstanding and its usefulness extends well beyond the topic of house sketching. The explanations are clear, comprehensive, yet concise. The principles that Kiefer presents can easily be transferred to other subjects and other media (e.g water color painting). The way he writes, you can almost hear him sitting next to you as you’re working, gently encouraging you along the way. Whether you’re a beginner or a more seasoned artist, this book has something for everyone, be it loads of useful tips or a heap of genuine inspiration.

This book is so well planned out and articulated. It is so helpful to understand sketching from an experienced and talented artist. Thank you for the lessons and insights.

O livro é lindíssimo! Recebi hoje e estou muito ansiosa para começar. Uma coisa importante que não é mencionada na descrição do livro. Cada desenho tem um QR code que te direciona para o YouTube ensinando a fazer os desenhos.

Such a beautiful and inspiriational book for design and concepts glad I picked this up even just to look at

très bon livre avec beaucoup d'exemples et une bonne décomposition de la technique de dessins. Il faut par contre adhérer au style de l'auteur : sa technique est assez spéciale, il aime les lignes brisées, il adore l'exageration, il privilégie la couleur par rapport à l'esquisse. Mais ca aide énormément en terme pédagogique, tous les axes de travail (style, technique, liberté d'interpration, gestion de la lumière, tonalités et couleurs) sont bien abordés. Je recommande à qui souhaite découvrir et étoffer sa technique.

Das Buch hat ein sehr schönes Format. Etwas breiter als DIN A4 mit tollen Zeichnungen. In der ersten Hälfte bespricht der Autor Grundlagen zu verwendeten Materialien und Zeichentechniken. Danach geht auf auf seine spezielle Zeichentechnik ein. In der zweiten Hälfte zeigt er Schritt für Schritt an verschiedenen Häusern seine Art Häuser zu skizzieren und zu kolorieren. Ich habe mir das Buch als Ergänzung zu seinem Domestika Kurs gekauft und bin sehr glücklich damit. Aber auch ohne den Online Kurs ist es sehr empfehlenswert. Man erreicht mit der lockeren Finelinerzeichnung und der schnellen Koloration mit Markern sehr schnell gute Ergebnisse. Das Buch eignet sich für Urban Sketchers aber auch für Couch Potatoes, die nach Fotos zeichnen. Empfehlenswert.
