I have a little project where I am putting a relay inline with a SAE connector. Many of the SAE battery connectors have colored wires. But for what I am doing, I am going to clip this wire in half to insert the relay and I don't want to have a red wire visible. I was surprised that it took me effort in refining my sears to find connectors that were all black. This connector mates up perfectly with the one that comes with Optimate battery tenders. I have another brand battery tender that these do not fit with but from what I have found, that battery tender doesn't match up with any other SAE connector that I have bought. Just pointing this out as I have found that just because it says SAE for the connector does not mean that it will fit every battery tender out there.
