Good idea. However, was told by garage that these can become welded to the valve meaning they have to replace the valve. Be aware of this if purchasing. It was an independent garage rather than a dealer so I would trust them more than a dealer at least in this issue Personally I haven't had this issue and I know that they don't really like weather below. 5° c here in the UK whether or not that will make any difference in the long run. I have no idea

Good for checking tyre pressure

After a year these seized up on my tyre valves, forcing me to remove them with pliers. The parts also sometimes stuck inside, preventing the indicators from showing low tyre pressure, which is the one job they had to do.

an update to my original review.... After using these valve caps for some time with no problems yesterday one was showing yellow. All the valve caps had seized onto all four wheels of my car. It cost me £52 at my local tyre centre to have them removed and the wheels re balanced after the tyres were removed to cut the valves out. I certainly wouldn't buy these again. DON'T BUY. At some point they'll seize on your valve caps!!

Ordered one set for ourselves, told friends and had to order another 3 sets for them!!!

I have had these before and they are excellent and just what I wanted. However, be careful when handling them as a necessary black washer inside each cap sometimes falls out and, being small and black is hard to find. Also, make sure all caps are present before you leave your car at a service station, and check that they are all still there when you leave. However, they are not expensive to buy.

No indication of what they have been calibrated to on the caps or on the packaging. I do not know what pressure they are set at and neither can any picker on the delivery route. Cannot trust them so will not use them

Una medida más de seguridad para evitar que tengas una presión demasiado baja en los neumáticos.

È un'idea intelligente per controllare i pneumatici in alternativa ai sistemi tradizionali compresi i misuratori elettronici di pressione, ne ho preso uno e non è affidabile, né comodo. Attenzione però non vanno lasciate montate sull ' auto! Si usano così : togliere il coprivavalvola dell ' auto e mettere quello Ankia senza stringere. Come arriva l'aria al tappo Ankia cresce il livello colorato in verde e se è maggiore del giallo, la pressione della gomma è ok. Dopo togliere il tappo Ankia e rimettere il copriva vola originale. Se li lasciate montati invece esce aria e si rischia di sgonfiare il pneumatico. A me è capitato. Bisogna anche considerare che sono tarati per 2,4 bar mentre di solito le ruote si regolano a 2,2 bar davanti e un poco meno dietro. Di conseguenza il livello del colore verde del tappo non sarà al massimo, si vedrà sempre un poco di giallo. Costano poco, non servono batterie e non serve più passare dal distributore per controllare le gomme.
