Just what we need to let us know whose coming through our Gate.

This is second one I have purchased over about 10 years, this one is not as loud as the first one.

Very poor quality indeed and it didn't work anyway,made a buzzing sound continually, unplugged, then dead .I can't understand why this trash is so expensive.Now the trip to the post office,wait in a queue, costing me time and money.Dont these manufacturers have quality control?,how many more defective pieces of junk are being sent to customers?.

This unit could be so much better without interfering with the price. It does not have a wall bracket so has to be attached directly to the wall [or fence] this means it's angle of direction has to be 90 degree to the wall or fence. An adjustable bracket is needed. I cannot set this looking directly down my drive as i cannot set it in the location needed due to no adjustable bracket, so i have had to set this on my garage door to achieve the effect i want. [for me it is too far back at this location] The alarm tone - don't know as i would call it "ding dong" and it is only a single toned unit - needs a few tones to choose from! Volume - no options other than high or low. high is loud - very loud. whilst low is very low barely audible in a room with a tv turned on - HOWEVER to be fair, it was enough to wake me from a sleep at night. but i am a light sleeper colour - white, makes it highly visible - suggest black would be better! for the outside unit. LED - bright and again highly visible, needs an option to turn this off which will save on power!! IP Rating - Rated at IP44 - this is not ideal for outdoor use, it will probably allow water ingress in a torrential rain storm [which we are getting more of] needs to be at least IP65 or IP66 rating Sensing distance:- this is interesting as it claims to be 5mtrs [give or take] and for human detection i found this to be reasonably accurate BUT it will detect a car coming past my drive at probably 15mtrs or more but will not detect a human at that distance. It is capable of doing the job but i do feel there are better products out there for a similar price point. that would offer a little more flexibility for mounting, sounds and battery life. this will be greedy on batteries for sure. i have yet to experience battery life but when i know there are product that uses 4 AA batteries with a life span of over 1 year a PP3 and 3 x C batteries with an alleged life of just 1 month [which i have not yet confirmed or disproven] really does put this product at the lower end of the "good product guide" Addendum December 2024:- Some people have complained about battery life, so far this item has been running 24/7 for some 10 weeks or more and i am still running from the original batteries i inserted. - i did a battery check after 4 weeks and all 4 batteries were still showing as being fully charged. So, to those people that are complaining about battery life, perhaps you are using cheap batteries? Along with another security device i have covering my property this item DID alert us to intruders that prevented the theft of a motorbike. Whilst i remain convinced this product can be improved without extra cost, the fact that the battery life has well exceeded the 1 month many have complained about, and that it did the job as intended i am upgrading my rating from 2 star to 3 star - i would like to give it 3.5 but i can't and i am not convinced it is worth a 4 star but is defo worth more than my original 2 star rating SECOND ADDENDUM - END MAY 2025. Battery life still very good nothing like the problems encountered by others, defo happy with the battery life thus far - however one issue that has raised it's head for me recently i SUNSHINE!! generally This unit is on 24/7 which means when i am in my study i can be made aware of anyone being where they should not be BUT as the days are getting warmer and considerably longer i have encountered an issue with the sunshine. When the sun rises to a certain point in the sky it sets off the alarm, there is physically nobody or anything that should be tripping the alarm but the sunshine does. Now that is an issue for daytime monitoring in my opinion. the alarm triggers at very short intervals and is purely down to the position of the sun in the sky and forces me to turn off the alarm for around 90 minutes or so - i can only assume the suns rays are hitting the sensor - as we get deeper into the year with the time changes slightly but it is the same thing, sun is up, shines on the sensor, the alarm triggers with numerous false alarms!! that is a problem for me!!!

Excellent bit of kit, well built. Dont forget you will need batteries (3 C type and 1 9v). Very sensitive, needs a few attempts to find the best position for the detector but once found it's great. The receiver is portable as well so you can take to whereever you are. Good range as well.

Keinerlei Info vorab über die benötigten Batterien. Da ich von normalen, gängigen Batterien ausgegangen bin, war ich etwas überrascht das dort C-Blöcke benötigt werden. Die zusätzlichen Batterien würden erneut über 25€ kosten. Somit wird der Artikel wieder zurück gesandt. Es wäre schön, wenn in der Beschreibung oder den Bildern die benötigten Batterien hinterlegt werden könnten.

Exactement le même produit que celui acheté en 2018 et qui a donc duré 7 ans. un record!!! espérons que le nouveau sera aussi performant. Différence pile de 9v au lieu de 3 piles 1,5v. j'ai utilisé l'adapteur secteur 6v de l'ancien on branche et ça fonctionne du 1er coup. par contre le timbre de la sonnerie est plus agressif en high, en low ça va peut-être un peu faible. On verra à l'usage. Je recommande ce produit
