Chyavanprash Jam for Immune Support and Rejuvenation, Energy Boosting, Stress Relief, 17.83 oz

I quite enjoy the taste of this product. It reminds me of tamarind. It has a sweet tangy/sour taste. I spread it on toast or rice cakes and top it with peanut butter. Very good! I purchased it for all the benefits it lists. I have presently only gone through half a jar , so it is hard to see any of the benefits. I can only share that I am feeling well. I believe you are what you eat and trust this is healthy. I will continue to purchase and use this Chyavanprash on a daily basis.

I had used Chyavanprash before and liked it. With flu season in full swing, I thought I'd better stock up. I was curious to know what the health benefits were. I found a long article on NIH, full of tables that I really didn't understand but the last one was interesting. The article explained that with the popularity of Chyvanprash, some of the quality has dropped with mass production. They included a table comparing the active ingredients and antioxidant benefits of several different brands including Darbur and Himalaya. Himalaya was the clear winner. So, in spite of the reviews about the missing jar lid, I ordered the Himalaya brand. And, yes, it arrived with just the seal. But it was packed in a brown bag so when I searched around in the bad, I found the lid. I have no idea why they pack it this way. I was going to complain because Amazon packed it with a box of nitrile gloves which I thought could have punctured the seal on the Chyavanprash. But that seal is so tough, I had to use a knife to break it open. The quality of the product itself was exactly how I expected. I'm glad I chose this brand.

I used this after I got sick after a friend recommended it to me. I had never heard of this product but I was willing to try anything. The flavor is interesting. Not bad but is somewhat of an acquired taste. It's very spice heavy but also sweet. Picture an Indian jam. Anyways I'm not sure that it helped but the flavor definitely makes you think it will do something. I'll try it again the next time I'm sick.
