Playtex Secrets Women's Seamless Cottony Underwire Full Coverage Bra 4415

This is my favorite bra, and I've owed about 10 of them in the past few years. I started buying them locally, buy online became the lower stress way to find them. The natural beige color is flattering for my pale skin and the only color I've purchased. Often "beige" is too high contrast and shows under light colored blouses. The cottony fabric is comfortable year round, but especially in the summer. The lace touches are just enough to accent, but they are kept away from seams and there is no exposed lace "picot" to catch or rub. (Often lace trim irritates my skin.) The wider straps curve towards the collarbones, which puts the gel padding where it's needed. My size (DD) has a 4 hook closure. The band offers good support without any additional bones on the sides. There's minimal fabric on the band under the breasts, and the center sits flat on my sternum without gapping or the "uni-boob" effect. Cups are full coverage, seamless and obviously have spandex, but the fabric is not as thick as that in the cheaper "allover support" t-shirt bra without gel straps. I machine wash in a lingerie bag on delicate.Line dry. The beige color holds up well. I've never had a wire snap or break out, which is pretty darn remarkable. If you are looking for a bra balances function with pretty, give this one a try. I think the sizing is true for Playtex products. I really love these bras. I had purchased several a year or so ago and came back to get more before the style became obsolete (I hate when that happens!). Anyway, the fit is great. It is very comfortable, looks very nice, and is well made. I was so stoked when I came here and saw the new darker color. I love darker colors and this one looks just like the picture - a kind of charcoal grey. So I snagged three of those and another in the light violet color. It's a nice shade - kind of a light silvery violet. Although I don't love white, I do have one white one and one of the light (it's super light and kind of a soft yellowy beige) color. Back when I was first buying them there were only the three colors. I've been wearing the first ones I purchased for some time now. They wash well (I wash in warm/cool water and hang to dry) and all look just like the new ones I just purchased.

If certain fabrics irritate your sensitive skin, this bra may be a good choice for you. I wear a 38B. I am in my 50's and no longer have the perky "chi-chis" that I once had, so when I received the bra and saw that it doesn't have a foam cup but a stretchy fabric, I was concerned. First, the cup is of a cottony stretch fabric and I haven't experienced any irritation or discomfort, it feels soft. However, if you don't have a full breast, the stretchy fabric tends to crease a bit, and you have to adjust the creases. I am neither pleased or displeased with my silhouette. The litmus test for me with this bra is that I don't appear to be sagging, and this does a good job. The straps are comfortable and lined with the same cotton material, and are probably the most comfortable straps I have ever worn. They are a bit wide, so they might show if you're wearing a ank. I know it is popular for young girls to let their straps show, but I come from an era where that was tacky. I wore a sleeveless top and had to take care the straps didn't play "peek-a-boo". The clasp in the back is a bit on the itchy side, but not so much that it would create distraction if worn throughout the day. The underwire doesn't poke or feel in any way uncomfortable. I am fairly pleased with this bra, it is pretty, and I like that the straps stay put, but I probably wouldn't buy it again. I really prefer a bra with a foam cup.

I HATE shopping for bras, but this one was definitely worth it - so much so I just ordered a second one, and might do a few more - I just want to see how well they hold up to repeated laundering and an occasional accidental bleaching and/or drying (the kids help do the laundry - they're not very careful sorters)! I've been struggling to find a bra to replace a different Playtex bra I loved that has been discontinued for some time. After the support wire broke in my second-to-last one, I was desperate. This bra was highly recommended by other women who loved the discontinued bra, so I gave it a shot. The only thing I don't love about it is the material is very thin so doesn't ummm... help cover when you're cold. ;) But other than that, it's about the most comfortable bra I've worn in years. The little plastic pieces that attach the straps in back are in a clever V-shape to help keep the straps from slipping down, which is nice, and the straps are comfy too. The sides are wide, helping with side-shaping, and the hooks are nice and sturdy.

Update: After wearing these bras for a few weeks I find that the metal in the clasps is making my back itch. I've never had a bra do that, although costume jewelry does. Perhaps the coating on the metal isn't thick enough to keep it from irritating my skin. I used a different Playtex bra as my standard go-to everyday bra for years and then they discontinued it so I tried this as a replacement. To compare my favorite one to this one: both are very comfortable and fit well. The cup shape is different between the two (D cup). While the other was more rounded and forward, this one is slightly more tapered and angles slightly out and this gives a different look under sweaters, etc. I do find that the bra straps on this one have a very slight tendency to want to slide off my shoulders and I didn't find that with the previous style. Still, great bra at a great price.

This bra was recommended as a replacement on the Hanes website for style #7536 which I have worn for years and has now been discontinued. I can never find my size (42DD) in stores so I was happy to find that Amazon has such a good selection of brands, sizes and colors. Thanks to their excellent return policy I was able to try on several styles to find the one I liked best. This bra is an excellent replacement for the one I used to wear. This is also the first bra I've purchased in a long time where I found it necessary to shorten the straps; usually I have to make them as long as possible. This bra fits me well; I like the seamless cups which look nice under t-shirts. I also like the cottony fabric which I prefer over nylon as the nylon usually makes me itch. I need a bra with an underwire and this one is very comfortable; it does not poke me under the arms like some do. I'm very happy I found this syle to replace my old favorite. I will be ordering more of them in other colors.

The bra is comfortable with not too much pressure on my shoulders because of the slightly wider strap. I bought my normal size of 36DD. I found the cups to be a little bigger than I have normally found in the same size. Not hugely, and they might shrink slightly when I wash the bra today. My husband likes the way it makes the girls look. They are lifted quite nicely and separated. I hate wearing a bra all day no matter what. Without the underwire I don't feel that I get enough support, so after a while I am aware of the wire bothering me. This has been the same with every bra I wear. It's just a fact of life. It's no different with this bra. However, all in all, I am satisfied with this bra and would recommend it.

I have never found a bra that is comfortable on me and I am a person that doesn't go braless until I go to bed at night. However, this bra is very comfortable. The straps are soft and the width keeps them from cutting into my shoulders. The 4 hook closure is wide enough to keep the back of the bra from riding up. In other bras I have to keep reaching around and pulling the back down into place. The underwire on this bra is also made so the staves don't poke into my underarm when I'm sitting down or leaning forward to reach for something. I recommend this bra!!!
