Kwikset 83373 - SILVER Smartkey Deadbolt Cylinder in Silver

Exactly as advertised. Lost the both keys to our kwikset smart lock. This worked perfectly to replace the cylinder with new keys.

I miskeyed a lock by mistake and rendered it useless. In calling the customer service, they suggested I had no option to fix it. Fortunately I found these replacement cores. It was a quick and easy replacement using instructions from YouTube. Lock is now rekeyed and working.

As most have mentioned, the shaft is shorter. I didn't see an option for the longer shaft, so like most did as well, I replaced it with my old one. Feel sorry if the part you need is the stem shade part. Other than that, it's a piece of cake replacing it.

Puchased a replacement Smart Key tumbler that didn’t have the rod that slides through the deadbolt and when I went to remove the one from the broken tumbler the receiving end of the new one was different that the original. As a result I had to buy one with the rod. Although it is shorter than the original, it was long enough to work. Re-keying the new one tumbler with my original key was a snap. If you’re gonna re-key the new tumbler with your original key, I strongly suggest going to YouTube and see how it’s done as opposed to reading the instructions. When you insert the the re-keying tool, make sure to keep pressure on it when you recalibrate it.

The "tail" portion was shorter than my old one, but all I has to do was swap out the new "tail" with the old "tail" and it worked perfectly.

Good product works as expected I called the company and they explained to me how to replace the old cylinder with a new one (I replaced it because I lost the key) really simple and easy Value for money I would have to say it could be cheaper

Perfect for my 1st Generation KEVO. Lost my last key that I was going to have a copy made yet never did then was left with no key. Woman, no particular mechanical or construction skills changed this out by myself without a problem.

Bought this to replace deadbolt cylinder on my Kwikset smart lock. It is long enough to work with a key but not long enough to reach the smart lock mechanism so doesn't work with the keypad to unlock. See picture left with black end is the original and clearly longer than the replacement part I purchased

Worked as expected

Just purchased a property and the old owner kept all the keys for the existing locks… stating he’d lost the keys. Rather than changing the entire lock, I purchased the Smartkey set. Saved me tons of money and was very easy to install. Highly recommend
