If you want a trip down memory lane or are generally interested in animation, this book is 1000% worth a look
I knew I was going to love this book when it had Beast Boy from Teen Titans and the Joker/Harley Quinn team from the original Batman animated series RIGHT ON THE COVER! Of course there are classics in the book such as Tom & Jerry, Astro Boy, Space Ghost and Alvin & the Chipmunks, so it's not just for Generation Yers (Zs? Millennials? What even am I anymore?). What's more is that you get trivia about who voiced the cartoons, changes made during respective seasons, the kinds of music used for more classic Looney Tunes-era cartoons, and what kind of impact many of these cartoons made. I appreciated that some of the more problematic episodes during some of these cartoons' runs was mentioned, because I think it's important to note when our media missteps, and how to correct or acknowledge problems. If you want a trip down memory lane or are generally interested in animation, this book is 1000% worth a look. This will definitely change my Netflix search history for the next few months...

Not as good as it should be
Well written and researched, with a lot of very nice pictures, but the layout should have been better. There is far too much white space, partly because some of the images are too small. My main problem with this book is that there are OVER 30 character photos missing!!! For example, pages 140 through 170 are completely without pictures! So are pages 147 through 164! Surprisingly, a few of the absent Toons are Foghorn Leghorn, Mojo Jojo, Quick Draw McGraw, Porky Pig (!), Jonny Quest, Donatello (of TMNT) and Skeletor! Overall, the Photo Editor did a really crappy job, and there is no excuse for this. There are plenty of stock photo agencies throughout the United States, and there should have been photos included of EVERY character!

Enjoyable to read
This book is one to read if you are looking for something fun and quick to read. Author does a great job at making this a breeze to read.

A fun walk through TV animation history
Marty and Joe offer a fun, lighthearted look at television's greatest animated characters, and offer an animation history primer along the way.

What a great idea to rank the greatest cartoon characters of all ...
What a great idea to rank the greatest cartoon characters of all time! What's even better is the book itself, which provides wonderful trivia and information about the best of the best, including their creation and development. The colorful images are great. This is just a really fun book and a must-get for anyone who likes cartoons.

I didn’t pay much attention when I was buying the book and is not a book I would buy if if I had a look at it before. Everything is glossy and well choose but I was expecting something else, my bad. The only thing I don’t like and is not the authors fault just they for sure didn’t have the rights or authority to put the picture of more than15 of the characters on the list, but anyway the info is good and always can be looked up online. I am giving it as a present to a friend.

I am disappointed. I thought there would be lots of nice graphics but there may have been one of each character & graphics were poor quality. They just look like graphics downloaded from the internet. There is lots to read about the cartoon characters in this book but I didn’t read it because that’s not what I was looking for. I am so glad I only got the kindle version instead of the more expensive hard copy. Definitely not worth more than $5 & that’s for a hard copy.
