Wow! Was I surprised how good these were when I tired the first one of six. Having a history with heat and serve meals, with a long shelf life, had me expecting something good for survival rations but not something I would want every day. I would say I could eat these cabbage rolls anytime. I have family from Russia and grew up on Cabbage Rolls. These taste very good. A bit sweet but overall a Cabbage Roll; not all cabbage rolls are created equal either. I am so Impressed. At 7 dollars meal per six, not a bad value either considering other survival or Meals Ready to Eat. I am anxious to get the variety pack I ordered and try the others. I am certainly a fan now and will purchase again. You have to try these!

Was excited to have these cabbage rolls for lunch. Weird flavor to the meat, funny color - sort of artificial red color. Threw them away. Yuck... did not enjoy at all!

My wife hates them; I overall like them. My take is that they taste good, the stuffing doesn't have too much rice, and the cabbage is tender and tasty. But the package weighs 2+ lb because it's mostly sauce. The sauce is good enough that you can eat it like tomato soup, but that's not exactly what I expected. The main rub is that they are very, very sweet. Too many carbs for a diabetic like me. Plus, my wife has a thing about sweet main courses--thinks they're disgusting. Maybe she was bitten by a sugar glider as a kid. I don't know. So I have to give it a mediocre review.

This room temperature stable product is convenient to take along on a trip. Heating is fast with a microwave oven, which is available in most hotel rooms. The product tastes as good as the refrigerated version that I had been buying at a "big box" store [they stopped carrying it, temporarily I hope].
