Keeps my naturally grey hair from going yellow.

My order arrived without any spillage; however, the box took quite a beating and I believe if it had a longer voyage the bottles might have suffered some damage as there was no bubble-wrap or fillings inside the box for further protection. I find nothing odd with the items’ packaging and the barcode places Germany as country of origin, so I hope they are genuine products. It is also not expired (expires 2025). I will reorder this item from this particular seller again. Although I am reviewing this only after two uses, I can say the Schwarzkopf Goodbye Yellow so far has met most of my expectations. The shampoo is thick and deeply opaque, which according to specialists is a good sign of an effective anti-brass shampoo. The color appears bluer than purple, but this doesn’t seem to be a problem with my hair: My hair is a mix of color-treated DARK blonde with natural grey and white strands. The shampoo did not create green hues and neutralized the brassiness without leaving a strong purple tint. It slightly stained my fingers and nails, but the staining was gone by the end of the shower – I did not need gloves and there was no mess left behind. The smell of the product is subtle, like any regular shampoo, I cannot relate to some reviews claiming the shampoo’s smell to be overpowering. It did not neutralize the brassiness during the first use where I left it in for 5 minutes as instructed on the product, but the effectiveness may vary based on the hair’s porosity, so perhaps I needed multiple 5-minute washes to see results. Impatience took over and during the second use I left the shampoo in for 10+ minutes and the results were great, though (as expected) my hair was drier than when I left it in for only 5 minutes. Now that I’ve achieved the desired tone, I will use the product once a week. This will be my go-to of all purple shampoos. It is a large quantity for the price, there is an absence of some damaging ingredients usually found in purple shampoos and my hair does seem less dry in comparison to other brands. Above all: The shampoo eliminated the brassiness without the hair looking too purple or blue. LOVE IT!

As long as I remain blonde, THIS, is the shampoo that I will be using in my hair. I have silver tones in my blonde and this shampoo keeps the colours looking brilliant and as true as when I left the salon. If you love your hair and want to look after your blonde, I cannot recommend this product enough!

Good product. One star down as wish it came with a pump

Bought this after reading reviews. I only leave it on for 1 minute as I was frightened my hair would stay purple but it tones down my over processed hair as my colour washes out very quickly, just fine. Doesn't stain my fingers. It feels creamy but does seem to dry out hair more but I just use more of The One spray that my hairdresser recommended and I don't wake up looking like Worzle Gummage (I think that's how you spell it). All in all very happy with result I get and feel the litre bottle was a good buy.

My hairdresser recommended this product to stop my blonde hair becoming brassy and that's just what it does. Little bit messy to use but ok if you rinse the shower or bath well after use.

Best possible product in this area. Exceptionally good value, at least 9 month's supply. Very highly recommended.
