Great Shoe!
I recently experienced some knee issues and had to work with a coach to change my gate. After a lifetime of leaning forward and kicking my legs out, transition to a more upright "shuffling gate" has been challenging but very effective in terms of anatomical comfort. It has also allowed me to rely less on heel striking....and thus opened up some new shoe possibilities. I have always liked Nike's fit but have been hesitant to go with a "barefoot" style shoe in the past. I gave these a try and they have been GREAT. Very light weight, but cushioned enough that I feel like I don't need any other shoes. (I am a 10K-ish guy.) I have put about 100 miles on them so far, and they seem to be holding up very well, as they should. When it gets below freezing, I usually leave these at home. Not much fabric, so toes get cold. I ordered my normal size. They are snug, but comfortable. Overall a great shoe.

Love these shoes!!!
I usually wear a 9 and for some reason not paying any heed to the previous reviews and comments I went ahead and ordered a 9. Alas, I was left to rue that these are made a bit too small. I went half a size up and that sorted all the 'get the foot into the thing' problems.. I am usually a big fan of nike shoes especially for the comfort it provides. I always feel that it has been tailormade to my requirements. This shoe doesn't disappoint. Decent grip and perfect cushioning. I hate to go on long walks with bad shoes but these are so good that I ran across the blocks twice as much. I was heaving and puffing at the end of it but my feet felt just fine. I can't comment on durability as I finished two weeks with these as of now. So far its holding its part of the deal. If it goes otherwise, i'll post an update. There are a bit pricey but if you can afford these go for it. Just remember to order half a size up.

Like my Nike Dual Fusions
Like my Nike Dual Fusions, these shoes are very lightweight and comfortable and have excellent arch support. However, where my Dual Fusions are a perfect fit for me in a Men's 11, the size 11s for the Free 5.0+ are too small. I had to return my first order and order a 11.5 instead. The new 11.5 size is a much better fit. My only problem is, while my left shoe fits perfect, the right shoe is uncomfortably tight around my big toe. Maybe I just need to break them in, but I just don't understand why the left shoe would fit so good, while the right one is so tight just around the big toe.If both shoes fit like the left one does, I'd easily give this a 5 of 5.

Completely satisfied customer
Grip: I wouldn't run through mud or wet grass in these, as they don't have much grip for those conditions. On dry concrete or pavement, though, they're good.Comfort: I wear these very frequently, and have never had an issue. The material is comfortable and can be worn straight out of the box. I get blisters fairly easily, and these gave me absolutely no problems on that front. I wouldn't wear them if I were going to be standing for long periods, but if you're going to be walking around they're right up there with anything I've ever had. They can be worn comfortably with or without socks, and the insole actually does appear to help reduce odor and sweat.Durability: I wear these all day probably 4 times a week, and I've also gone running in them. They're holding up really well. I am surprised at how sturdy the soft midsole material holds up, as it also makes up nearly all of the outsole.

320 Miles, 9 Months, Still going strong
I am a lightweight runner (140 pounds) with nearly-flat feet who sprints and slams the ground with his ugly running form.I've had these for roughly 9 months, and have gotten 320 miles out of them. I run at an average pace of 6'25" to 5'55" per minute, and the shoes are still holding up. Wear is starting to appear, but I'm sure I can still get a good bit of mileage out of this shoe. When it comes to all that pronation mumbo-jumbo, I've found that my flat feet are far more comfortable in lightweight, lightly supportive shoes such as these (and I've worn heavy support shoes). I plan to purchase the 4.0s next.I RECOMMEND YOU ORDER HALF A SHOE SIZE ABOVE!

Comfortable shoes
These shoes are comfortable but they're a bit snug so you may want to order a size up. The only other thing is that find out how much support you need in a running shoe before purchasing this shoe, for instance if you need knee and ankle support these shoes aren't for you because the way these shoes are made is that they're so light and thin that they make you feel as though you're bare foot. So I just wear these if I want to go run errands or don't have to get dressed up or anything like that. Personally for running I bought the Nike Lunarglide+ 5 running shoes and they're incredibly comfortable and supportive. So just know that these are great shoes but just figure out how much support you really need

Doesnt feel the same for some reason
I own 3 pairs of nike free 5.0+'s......This is my 4th pair. And although they are all identical in product type, shape, look, and feel. For some reason, these feel tighter, narrower, and less comfortable than my other 3. I never EVER needed a break-in period for those 3. Keep in mind, they are all the exact same type. All black with white bottom, and same everything else. The only difference? I bought the first 3 in stores. And got this one online. Why online? Get Sports Authority went out of business (thats where I usually got them) and I didnt wanna drive 30mins to get to the closest Dicks Sporting Goods near my house. I loved Sports Authority and there was one less than 10 minutes away from me. But anywayyyyyyyy. These all say the exact same size on the inner tongue but again, for some weird reason, they feel smaller than the other 3. Even though I never previously needed a break-in period, I decided to give them one anyway cuz maybe it was just some weird outlier. But even after wearing these ALL day (literally from 9am to about 6pm at work) for 3 straight days, they still wouldnt feel as comfortable as my other ones, and its never happened before. Im scared to keep wearing these cuz they start to hurt after about 5hrs or so, but I would fight through the pain to hopefully stretch them out and finally get them to feel as the other ones. But they wont change and I dont know why. I wear these once a week now just to try, but it doesnt seem to be getting any better.

Still an excellent shoe at version 5.0.
Still an excellent shoe at version 5.0. Good fit, good quality construction, and very light. This is my 5th or 6th pair of the Nike Free: my first pair was purchased in 2008 or so. I'm always a little concerned that a newer version of a product will sacrifice quality for profit, but every version of this shoe has worked well for me. One ding against it: the "waffle iron" tread picks up rocks easily, but it also provides much better flexibility than other treads. So I can live with stopping to dislodge the occasional rock.

Super

Great as expected
I had been wearing flat skate shoes (vans, converses) for years prior for pretty much everything including sports.I finely had enough of the pain and blisters and splashed out for these warlocks!Very very comfy, so much support and also very light. I despise going back to my vans....Great pair, make sure to get exactly your size.
