Monstrum Ruger 10/22 Picatinny Rail Mount for Scopes and Optics

Selected this rail based on it's finish. Bought for my new ruger 10-22 carbine with the black synthetic stock. Other rails that I looked at either listed a "tactical" or "matte" finish. In other words the flat, dull black finish popular on many new firearms. Mine has that somewhat shinny blued finish. This rail matches well. Slightly less "shinny", but not a stand out difference. Also matches the optics that I installed. I stripped down the receiver before installing. This both allowed me to assure that the screws that were included did not protrude into the receiver/proper length, as well as assuring that the purple threadlocker I used ( yes they make a purple, also bought from amazon) did not leak into the receiver. That last part is why ruger states not to use a threadlocker when mounting rails(goodies). I used the low strength purple as the screws are tiny, under 1/4" in diameter, and going into aluminum. OK rail came with an extra screw. I only used the 4 needed, I now have an extra, just in case. No problems with the screws, I just used a good quality driver from my firearms rated set. Have taken this rifle out to the back 40 this week end. Fired OH about 500 rounds from a bulk brick, 100 CCI mini mags. All good/ no issues. All in All happy with purchase.

Good quality and fit. The screws provided were incorrect thread fo my Ruger 10/22 but I was able to re-use the original screws.

Fit on my Ruger 10/22 without issue. It was easier installing this than taking the weaver rail off. Red dot fit without issue. Now together scope mounts for the scope which will live on the rifle.

Looks good and sturdy construction. Lets my scope hold zero, even when I bump it getting it in and out of my crowded safe.

In 1994 I bought my daughter a 10/22 International with full-length Mannlicher stock. It's been sitting in the back of my gun safe having not been shot since around 2001. I plan to give it to her to take back to Texas so wanted to mount a scope on it. I am no stranger to Monstrum Tactical and have come to trust their products. Don't let the price of this mounts fool you, these are as good as any I have used. After mounting Monstrum Tactical 10/22 Picatinny Mount I lapped in the rings to true them up. I didn't know I was going to write a review otherwise I would have taken a picture of the lapped surface when I was done; it was as near true as I've ever gotten. The rings sitting on the Monstrum Tactical 10/22 Picatinny Mount (that is not bedded) so this shows you how true the alignment is when using the Monstum Picatinny Mount and Ring combo. The Picatinny mount to the receiver was torqued to 15 inch-pounds, the ring mounting screws to Picatinny rail at 25 Inch Pounds, and the ring caps to 20 inch-pounds, using a Wheeler Fat Wrench. The only thing I might say is one of the screws seemed a bit soft. But that could have just been me not fully seating the screwdriver tip. The screw was still okay but they gave me an extra screw in the package so I just replaced it. I took the rifle out to the range and after 200 rounds the mount and rings were still perfect, I checked the torque and there was no change, nothing loosened up. I will buy more of these for other rifles and would recommend them to my friends. Besides, Monstrum Tactical has a 30-day no questions asked return policy if you don't like them.

Bought this picatinny rail to mount a thermal scope on my Ruger 10/22. Fit right on and scope fit nicely.

Sent with the wrong size screws, but otherwise seems like a good rail mount. Real metal with good paint and sturdy robust manufacturing. Hoping to get my issue resolved
