A definite upgrade from my charge 5 beautiful full sound. Easy to use as pushing the power and pressing play. Bluetooth is top notch stays connected across my big house and look at this setup. Looks simple but has amazing functionality and versatility. And this is a JBL known for durability. I definitely recommend the rubberized case mostly for the style and the boombox style handle but it adds to the already outstanding durability of these speakers. Never used the strap yet but its definitely high quality and my favorite feature i saved for last. This has a removable / replaceable battery. I love that its future proof. Btw you get 30 extra watts of sound when its plugged into the supplied power cord. Thats a big sound boost when its in my bedroom or patio room... I really enjoyed my jbl charge 5 but this jbl extreme 4 is miles ahead on pure sound and bass quality. I would highly recommend this speaker to anyone wanting huge sound in a still portable package. amazing bass and high quality mid-range. battery life last for at least 10 hours at high volume and probably 15 hours at mid to low volume. this speaker as well as every jbl ive owned carries it sound and bass really well. this speaker in particular carries very well and will get loud enough for anybody. been my sound system for my truck, played music while I'm building fixing/fence and played background music at parties. it connects almost immediately and can connect to two phones for DJ ing. it is big and has some weigh to it. the strap is really nice and adjustable. overall i highly recommend for an outdoor speaker.

This speaker is a decently sized speaker in between being considered huge and being considered small. In terms of sound quality it has great everything; vocals, bass, soundness, etc. It gets so loud that I have considered buying a subwoofer and pairing it with the speaker so that it sounds fuller. It does have good bass by itself but when cranking the volume up it slightly disappears. If you’re more worried about the difficulty of use don’t be, this is a simple speaker to pair up and start listening to music. Additionally the speaker itself has some standard controls like “play/pause”, “volume up”and “volume down”. In conclusion this is a great speaker but I would buy it only if it was $250-280. Bought mine for $250 and I am not disappointed, I’ve used it for the beach and pool party’s. (Have Xtreme 3 and it is also a great speaker if you find it on discount and you dont want the newest you won’t be disappointed. )

Amazing speaker super loud and crisp for its size. Had deep bass for the size. Best part is the battery life I work at a meat market will listen full blast for 10-12 hours none stop still will have 36ish% battery. We have 3 bandsaw turned on with two meat wrapping machine on around 20 people working and talking plus two big ac units going on nonstop. And you can still hear it perfectly and crisp anywhere in the room expensive buy but worth it if used often the way I do. Really helps to pass time at work every day

I tried Megaboom 4, Ult Field 5 and This Xtreme 4. The Xtreme 4 was the only one that met my expectations in my use case. My use case is inside a truck cab on the dashboard. I wedge this between the front and side windows giving room on both ends for the bass and aiming the front speakers nearly right at me. It sounds fantastic even though my ears are only a couple feet away. Punchy bass. Loudness and clarity blows away the Megaboom 4. When playing it outside it sounds great a few meters away. The battery lasted over 12 hours at mid to high volume playing bassy songs. Meaning it hasn't died on me yet using it for 12 hour work shifts. Minus one star because the carry strap is way too long. A simple handle would do me just fine. The ends of the speaker look dirty but it's someone's idea of cool design. Last negative is value for the money. I do love the bass reproduction. The bass about 35 seconds into Sir Mix A Lot "I'm Your New God". I can hear it on this clearer than other bt speakers. Not as clearly as on a pair of studio monitors at home but this Xtreme4 is relatively small. I am happy with this speaker. The Megaboom 4 might have been slightly better sounding with the 360 sound in enclosed spaces but if I wanted to play anything with bass I'd have to keep it at or below 50% volume and then couldn't really hear the music. At high volume the woofer was damaged and caused a permanent rattle. It also had bluetooth dropouts, maybe because the phone was less than a meter away. It didn't quite get loud enough to cover the engine sounds in a CDL vehicle but worked ok. The battery in it almost always lasted 10 hours at high volume. I returned the Megaboom 4. The Ult Field 5 sounded empty. It was ear piercing up close. I imagine it is intentionally designed for outdoor use with people several meters away. (A far field speaker) I do not recommend you try this one in an enclosed space or up close. The bass was lacking even when set to maximum. Returned.

I’m a sound quality snob. I’ve tried other well known brands. This JBL is incredible. Great clarity on highs and mids. Nice tight bass. It’s pretty compact for hauling around. Boat, camper, on the deck. Loud enough for my wife to say, “turn that down.” No distortion at high levels. Durable. Worth every penny!

Se o seu objetivo é ouvir música em boa qualidade, ficará muito satisfeito. O som tem uma qualidade absurda, além do volume. Uma caixa compacta atende ambientes médios e grandes. Fiz um churrasco e ela deu conta de 8h evento e ainda sobrou bateria. Usei também com a TV, ficoi ok. Mas não é a principal função dela.
