I really didn't think this was going to be good, me of little faith. I live near a great cuban restaurant with actual fresh black beans. But I was in a pinch for something easy to make on the go. I combined this with SOMO's Mexican rice pouch and holy moly it was DELICIOUS. I used it as taco filling but it would have been a great meal on its own, actually. So good I ate these straight from the pouch cold as I was getting ready to prepare them and had to stop myself before I just ate the whole thing that way.

I needed refried beans and didn't have time to make a pot of beans. I was able to open and mash these in some bacon fat. Perfect for my tostadas. Love the clean ingredient label.

I grew eating lots of black beans. When I have time I cook fresh beans. This is a great substitute I warm in the microwave or add spice and cook on the stove. Delicious either way. Thank you 😊

I like everything fresh and homemade but these black beans are simply amazing. I can say that as I’m married to a Cuban and make my beans homemade. The ingredients that they use, are exactly what I use and they are perfect. I consider myself a food snob so that’s a great complement.
