Doesn't freeze solid
As a migraine sufferer for many years, cold is my go to when I get one. I have tried every ice pack, ice hat, under the sun. They either freeze solid and I have to wait to use it (then what is the point) or I can't get it to stay in the spot I need it, or it doesn't stay cold long enough. Not gonna lie $99 is alot to pay. But it is the BEST ice hat I have ever used. I can wear it anywhere even in bed and it stays put. The ice packs are nice and cold and seem to ladlst a couple hours. Best part, they stay flexible!!!! No hard as a rock ice packs here! All the ice packs are removable so you can wash the head piece. Which by the way is super comfy and soft. Worth every penny! I even bought one for my bestie who also suffers from migraines!

Well-constructed and clever- give it a shot!
Full disclosure, I didn't keep the product in the end. I suffer from the kind of migraines that need both cold treatment and pressure applied. It's hard to do both. Plus, I'd like to be mobile to do other things too. I hoped someone made an ice helmet of some sort to accomplish this- and it's here in ICEKAP. It's thoughtfully and cleverly constructed. I think it would last for years. I tried out two of these though... my head's about 22.5. The size up was too big and I couldn't get the tension I desired. The size down was snug the way I needed it! But it turns out that the top of my head is kind of short... for me to wear the hat and to have the gel packs covering all of my head, I'd have to pull the whole thing down to my nose. Wearing the front comfortably on my forehead meant the packets at the top didn't touch my head at all. It feels WONDERFUL when it's all touching my head, but since it doesn't quite fit me, it doesn't meet my needs. So sadly, I had to return it. I've still given it a great rating though, because I think for the right person it would be an excellent product. Take advantage of the generous return policies here and give it a shot. It might be just the relief you need. If you're wondering what I ended up with... currently I'm trying out the headache hat, which is a wrap-around with a velcro end. It has trouble freezing solid (even in my deep freezer) but oh man, feels great when it's on and tight.

very good quality
I bought this to replace an ice pack that I lost. It was a simple circular ring that velcro-ed together around my head. This item was recommended by a co-worker who experiences migraines. It works really well, is of great quality, and is easy to sleep in which was important to me. The ice packs need to be placed in the cap before freezing; otherwise, it's a struggle to put them in frozen. Not to mention when you are experiencing a migraine, you do not have the energy to do this. The level of coldness on my temples is sometimes too much, while the level of coldness on top of my head is not enough. I sometimes push down on the top to feel the icepacks on top. it fits fine - maybe a little big, but that's what I wanted. I didn't want it too tight. I purchased a large - the circumference of my head is 21.5 inches. All in all, I do recommend this product - it's worth the money to have in your migraine-fighting arsenal. Those of you who experience migraines know what I'm talking about! :)

Amazing for migraines. I keep mine in a freezer bag ready to go. Stays cold for a long time.

Waste of time and Money
The cap does not stay cold and there are gaps throughout so no full coverage. Bulky and difficult to reload with extra ice packs that are another separate price. So sorry I went with this product and also bought two refills. Can barely feel the cold so of course it doesn’t work for chemo hair loss. I thought with the price it would be a quality product. It is not.

It's a $40 cap, maybe
I have chronic headaches that are localized over my right temple. I've had various diagnoses for this, including "tension headache with migraine symptoms", but no matter what they are, so far nothing helps them. This cap...kind of does. With it, the length and severity of my headaches is improved (two days in bed versus three or four, about a 7/10 versus peaks of 26/10), so overall, I'm happy with it. But there's some caveats worth considering. Pros: -Versatile positioning, so the neck flap can actually go over your eyes for more coverage, or you can wear it kinda cattywampus to really get some cold where you need it (for me, having it situated properly doesn't touch my temple). -Easily adjustable, so that you can get a fit that just helps it stay put or even adds additional pressure, if that's what helps you. -Easy to recline with. Cons: -The packs don't always freeze. They're not supposed to freeze SOLID, but they are supposed to actually crystallize into a flexible form. But they don't. The number 2 packs are especially bad about this, and this happens over three different sets, so I don't think I just got a weird batch. They can be sitting in the very back of the bottom drawer of the deep freeze for actual weeks and still be simply cold liquid. What this means is they lack the ability to stay cold when applied to your head; because the liquid has not crystallized, equilibrium is reached very quickly since not as much energy is required to heat liquid. This is common to regular gel packs, but since these are supposedly better than what you'd find at Walgreen's, and since the majority of packs do actually crystallize, I'm guessing this is not the intended behavior. -3 hours is a little optimistic. You really have to have had the packs frozen for a long, long time to really get anything out of them. When you first get your cap it says to freeze for at least 24 hours, but I've found to really get anything useful out of them, they need to have been frozen for about three days, at least. And even then it's closer to an hour and a half. I know it says "up to", but c'mon. -It's heavy. I have BPPV (that's vertigo that is triggered by positional changes, usually while lying down), and the extra ballast of the cap means it's a lot worse if I need to roll over onto my side or something. It lasts longer and is more unpleasant. If you have this, as well, it's something to consider how much you're willing to put up with. -You really have to buy tons of refill packs if you have days-long episodes and want to use your cap more than once or twice every 24 hours. The length of time required to freeze and provide meaningful relief versus the time it's actually providing that relief is abysmal. Truly, truly, abysmal. At least my drugstore ice pack only takes an hour to freeze and I get a half hour out of it. That's a lot more up-time, guys, and for far less money. -The packs of course have those edges from the sealing machine that are very wide and like to bend outwards so that they poke you. -They say you can freeze the cap with the packs in it, but that largely results in a warped shape that is hard to re-fit to your head, and it also takes LONGER to freeze that way due to the cap's insulation. -And on the above note, putting the frozen packs into the cap is not a quick or easy process. Especially pack 3 which I've never once gotten into its slot in a graceful manner. -The packs DO NOT actually perfectly fit the pouches. They slide around and can bunch up. -If you wear glasses and think you can get some stuff done while wearing this, nah. The cap will sag against the top of the frame and make everything worse. If you're like me and don't relish the thought of contacts while you're dealing with a headache, this is not going to be a productivity saver, which is what I had really been hoping for. -It doesn't really conform to your head in any meaningful way. I find myself constantly putting pressure on certain places with my hands to try and maximize contact. Those are the big things I've noticed in the months I've had this. It's not $80 worth of amazing. If the packs were actually sewn in, maybe, and did actually sit firm in their places and it was just a bit snugger, MAYBE it'd be worth the money. But as it is, it's a lot of money for what is, to me (ie someone who really does have an okay time of it all and is thankfully not undergoing chemo like some users unfortunately are), a mediocre product.

Lasts longer but fails to cover the pony tale hole and temple areas
The most helpful review I have read is from Erica Woods (4.0 out of 5 stars) "Best for Chemotherapy cold-capping purposes." If you want to buy this cap for chemo, you must read hers. She explains how to cover the area iceKap fails to cover. I have been doing lots of research about cold caps for chemo therapy. I tried this cap—one of the pros is coldness lasts longer, but the biggest con is there is a large area not covered with ice pack across the Pony tale hole to both temple areas. If you use this cap, hair loss might start in those areas. I heard it is good to start cooling 30 minutes before the infusion and 90-240 minutes ideally after the infusion. Cooling scalp after infusion is important (!!). If you have three iceKap caps, I think that might work well for a longer treatment by putting back the used iceKap in a cooler with dry ice for one hour and reuse each iceKap that way. I know it is quite expensive but cost-wise, better than rental services. Also I heard pricing Paxman (FAD approved automated scalp cooling system) is capped at $2400.

Chronic migraine help!
(from IG review -- NOT SPONSORED) I researched all the different brands & settled on this one even though it was pricier & I was skeptical. Turn out, I totally love it! Pros: - stretchy & soft - gets REALLY COLD - there are multiple gel ice packs & they fit into pockets on the inside so you can put them all in for all-over frozen head or target certain areas - gel packs stay soft/flexible when frozen & stay cold for hours! - gel packs can be heated if that’s your thing - can use Velcro straps on sides to tighten if you like gentle compression - has ponytail hole so it keeps hair out of the way for maximum cold against your scalp! - comes down back of neck & low on forehead - you can keep it assembled & in a freezer bag in freezer so it’s ready to go - they sell extra gel pack sets (I’m definitely getting) - they have multiple sizes you can buy, from kids to extra big heads - is Canadian Cons: - it’s kinda heavy - kinda goofy - pricey I've used this for about a month and I am extremely happy with it! It doesn't cure my migraines but it helps a lot -- I always want cold things on me when I have a migraine, it stops the pain a bit and helps control the other symptoms (nausea, dizziness, etc). I can also see this being useful for mindfulness -- focusing on the cold sensation on your head vs everything else. The area coverage is awesome -- better than I have seen with other types of caps. I would definitely recommend!!

Devolução do dinheiro

GRACIAS.
