Versatile Tiles for Hands-On Learning
I’m excited to use these Hand2mind Sensory Number Trays in my classroom. I have a student with vision challenges, so I especially like that these are large tiles with a tactile design that students can explore by touch. The tiles are double-sided, with dots and numbers on one side and a recessed surface with raised tactile bumps forming the number on the other. They can also be connected like puzzle pieces, which adds even more possibilities for activities. The set includes a small booklet with ideas for how to use them as well. I can see these being a very versatile learning tool, especially at such a reasonable price point. Students could match dice, fingers, blocks, or other manipulatives to the corresponding number. They could trace the tactile numbers, use Wikki Stix or play dough to form them, and practice number recognition in a variety of hands-on ways. There really are so many possibilities for using these in the classroom and I’m sure my students will have fun using them!

My toddler's FAVORITE toy
I was an early childhood occupational therapist for 12 years. My daughter just turned two and she has tons of sensory and developmental learning toys from my days as an OT. Even so, these number trays are her absolute FAVORITE toy. I didn't exactly see that coming. She plays with these every single day. She arranges them in different orders, and shouts the numbers as she jumps up and down, and variations on this particular game of hers. These trays are super well-made, durable, high-quality, and excellent learning and teaching tools. It's so important to surround young children with numbers and letters early, and just let them play and explore. Turns out, she LOVES numbers and these trays are how we discovered that!

Riveting School Activity
Love these! They keep my kids entertained while they’re learning numbers and math. I give my kids pompoms or beads and have them count it out in the trays. The puzzle aspect of this is also a hit.

Free table activities fun
I like that these are double-sided one side for the kids to fill the bumps and learn how the shape of the number is made. And that the other side the kids can count little items like a racers or a mini pom-poms to put in there so that they can practice counting

Was disappointed
Smaller than I expected when you use these for acutal counting. You would have to use very small objects which may not be suitable for young children. The tactile was nice. I still returned them
