What I like most about this precision rain gauge, the stand is designed to be solid and the material seems durable, so it should be fine for outdoor weathering. After using it, it is indeed amazingly accurate. After each rainfall, the recorded data is quite stable, with minimal error when compared to the data from the weather station.

This rain gauge works well for measuring rain accurately. The two-part measuring system is clever This is a monster of a rain gauge! I am impressed by the size of it This rain gauge arrived well-packaged and matched the listing photos and description exactly.

Great Rain gage however you much keep it clear of bugs for an accurate reading.We belong to CocoRah weather community and this is what they suggest.

This gauge is easy to read, but they don't seem to use the best plastic to make it. The first one arrived with the bottom of the rain cylinder broken. The second one arrived with a small piece of the cone broken off. The latter didn't prevent use of the rain gauge. If they can fix their material issues this would be an easy 5 stars.

A good product. After about eight years, the Southwest sun eats at them. This is my third one in twenty-five years. Easy to use and read.

Best Rain Guage. Searched for a Stratus, but now sold by a different company.
