Worked great
The Vilene worked wonderfully when I embroidered a rose with it. Held up completely, didn't separate with the huge amount of stitches that the pattern required. I definitely recommend it and will purchase it again. I had previously tried the Sulky ultra solvy which fell apart during the embroidery process. Just a heads up to choose the Vilene, it works great.

Feels like fabric, easy to hoop, washes away quickly and completely
I really like this stuff for patches, free standing lace, and rope bowls. It is robust enough to pin and baste the items on and yet washes away completely in warm water. I haven't had it tear even when pulling it taut in the hoop.

Easy to use. Works perfectly for machine lace embroidery. Washes out without a trace.

Unreliable shipping info!
Vilene works great when embroidering stand alone lace. Dissolves perfectly. Only problem I had was delivery - took 3 weeks to get it from California. About a week longer than estimated when ordered. Tracking said it was delayed at Amazon facility. Not acceptable!

Overall...it is a great product...I recommend it to all!
Trail offs to small pieces fall off at times...takes away from the piece. I know it is an inherent problem.
