Consistent Flow
The EFCUT C40 Wood Chipper was simple to assemble, easy to operate, and performed exceptionally well. It’s a solid, heavy-duty machine, and the wheels make it surprisingly easy to move around by myself. I ran it for several hours in a single day, feeding it a steady supply of branches and brush, and it never missed a beat. The chips were a nice, consistent size—perfect for landscaping and garden paths. I was especially impressed with the smooth flow through the machine. This chipper exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're looking for a reliable, user-friendly machine that gets the job done efficiently, I highly recommend it.

Handles the toughest branches.
This thing is a beast. I wanted something OP to handle a woodpile the size of a beaver dam, and this unit delivers all the power I need and then some. Pulling the hand-rope for a flywheel this large is difficult for most, so you may want to consider the model with the electric starter. Once going, however, this chipper will chew through branches up to 4" with professional-grade power. Assembly was fairly simple, with easy-to follow instructions and parts clearly separated by separate plastic bags labeled according to assembly steps. The unit is also a gas-miser, running at top-speed for nearly an hour and barely using a quarter tank of gas. Impressive machine.

Good and Bad, Very Ugly
Machine works quite well, Assembly is easy, though it's requires some heavy lifting. The handle bolt are to short to fit properly, The handle would be better on the opposite side of the chute. The motor is problematic. The design make changing the spark plug an issue. The engine motors barely when starting. It take several starts until it pops, then slowly comes up to idle. UPDATE: While I rated it 3stars, it's no better then 1 due to the engine. IT was hard to start for the 3 times it was used for no more then 3 hours. Now it's a no start. Has no spark. The engine has no parts to be found, coil / ignition module. Over $200 per use.

Fuel tank dented upon receipt
When I received the chipper the fuel tank was dented on 2 sides. I tried the company's web site but only got an error, then tried the number but never received a response. I left a message on Amazon stating what was I supposed to do? The company reached out to me that they were working on the website and what was my issue? I let them know, sent them some pictures and they sent me a new fuel tank. I asked if it was easy to replace since it is me who will be doing it, they made up a tutorial, including pictures. that was easy to follow. I have been able to use my wood chipper and have found it handles branches up to 4 inches as advertised. I find the motor capable to handle what I have been sending through it, I'm not cramming lots of things through it of course but whatever I feed through it, it mulches up. I think it is important to have something to push any smaller ends through the chipper to be safe. I like I am able to move it around by myself even though it is a heavier machine. The customer service I received was outstanding!

Solid machine backed by outstanding customer service
I received this a few weeks ago. Set up was pretty easy, and the first 3 days using was great. This is a beast. It takes anything less than 2 1/2 inches without any effort. Larger branches you should feed in slowly so as not to stall the engine. I have a woods on my property, and a large black cheery tree came down, taking several others with it, so a lot of branches to mulch. The third day i was running it I heard a noise and a metal part flew out of the chute. I shut it down and wrote to the company with a picture of the broken part. After a couple days of back and forth (12 hour lag because of the time difference) they wrote back and said their tech team had identified a flaw in the design, and would send me a redesigned replacement part. They also noticed that my blades looked worn, so they would send a replacement set for my trouble. The parts arrived within 1 week via Fed Ex. I reassembled the machine but didn't initially replace the blades. It ran well but didn't suck in the branches as it initially had, so I went ahead and replaced the blades, and voila! It is again a beast. I have to say the customer service for this issue was simply outstanding. Efcut owned the issue and made it right faster than I could have hoped for.

DIY Assembly With Little Help In The Form of Useful Instructions
I've just assembled the chipper, with some difficulty. The "assembly instructions" are virtually useless. Most people can figure it out. What most people won't necessarily be able to do is to attach the handle. The mounting holes in the hopper sheet metal don't line up with the holes in the handle. I had to spend a considerable amount of time making the holes bigger by cutting metal to allow the attachment screws to pass through all the holes. That is a result of poor design, the sheet metal that the handle rest between is simply not correctly sized to fit the handle tubing and the holes are slotted in the wrong direction to accommodate even a low-precision assembly. Whether is work well and is durable I cannot say but there really isn't any excuse for the assembly situation. The real issue will be with the durability of the motor. That is a purchased item by the chipper manufacturer and has it's own manual so there isn't necessarily any design quality carryover from the main component.

Great machine but us seniors need an electric starter.
Assembly is straight forward. Easy to move from garage to yard. Always run on full throttle or the leaves will clog. This would the perfect chipper if I had an electric start. If you pull hard on the cord the machine moves with you. The cord pull cycle is too long. It should be the same pull cycle as a chain saw or leaf blower. At first I thought it was me as I am getter older..... I asked my younger neighbor to give it try. He had the same observation. It does start and runs great. This machine is in price and quality range with similar machines. I bought it because of its streamline design. Once again I need an electric starter for this machine.

It’s powerful and easily chipped through 3 and 4 inch branches.
Wow, this is my first experience with a wood chipper, and it has exceeded my expectations. It easily eats three and 4 inch branches without hesitation. It’s a little bit difficult to start as it takes a little extra muscle because of the larger engine. Assembly was easy and it looks to be very well built. I like the fact that it’s easy to move around and perfectly balanced. However, I wish it had pneumatic tires because for me it was a little difficult trying to push it through Florida sand. Overall, I give it a five star, this thing is amazing for the price.

Love it love it love it
Wow my sister has 3 inch chipper. I borrowed it and I had a hard time getting stuff to go in the hole was so small. Like 3 1/4 square hole that you try to put 3 inch into but if anything sticking out its not going. I was tired after 10 mins from ramming and jamming. This beast has at least a 6 inch hole so stuff goes in way easier and it pulls it in most of the time by its self. Big ones you have to hold back. But a 2 or 2 1/2 inch branch doesn't even slow the motor. Now it is loud you most definitely need hearing protection. I have not had anything jump back out and smack me in face but I will wear the shield anyway. Very easy assembly. Doesn't start worth a poo I am hoping it is because new and breaking in but backfires when trying to start. I have to pull cord 3x fast have it not stop spinning between pulls. UPDATE : I was right it is a great machine. Cleared it all in no time. Hearing is a little worse now though. Hearing protection is definitely required. And not noise canceling earbuds. Actual muffs or 33dlb I used 28 and my ears have been ringing for 2 days . Also leather gloves is handy as machine will pull branch out of your hand sometimes and some bark is ruff especially dog wood.

Chips Ahoy !
Backfires every time I have started it but it does start. I'm hoping it's just breaking in. Handles three inch pine limbs with ease.

Good machine
Working great had to trim a willow tree and made short work of the branches. The instructions were rather poor, but with the help of you tube got it together. Need to figure out way to make a longer handle it's difficult to move around.
