Revlon ColorSilk Tone + Gloss + Care Demi-Permanent, 5 Medium Brown

My go to hair color in Medium brown shade, I bought this on Amazon so many times when i need to color my hair which is every two or three months the most. The price is affordable and yet it is a very good semi-permanent hair color. Just need to retouch every two or three months. This works very well for me so i will continue buying this when needed. Highly recommend!

I'm starting to get some grays, so I started dying my hair using Revlon Colorsilk, which is permanent. I liked the results, but over time, I felt that it was drying my hair too much and also looking dull. Now I use this gloss and my hair looks healthier, softern and shinier. It cover/blends grays quite well. The downside is that it doesn't last much. In winter I wash my head about 2 times a week, that's 14 washes per month. I think I need to apply this once a month or perhaps 6 weeks. Thus, it doesn't last the 28 washes as it claims. But it's still good and I plan to keep using it. Bonus, you don't get that harsh grow effect as you get with permanent dyes. You probably also want to touch up your permament hair color each 4-6 weeks anyway, so I'd rather do it with this gloss that nourshes my hair.

I love this stuff. It’s perfect for when I want to go darker but not permanently. Its super easy to put on and it didn’t leave any staining on my bathtub or anything. It washes out mostly after about a month, but the full color is gone after about threeish. Attached is a before and after in the same lighting. It isn’t a huge difference, but it definitely feels like a huge difference.

After a hair-lightening disaster, I used this in medium brown (shade 5), and it blended everything beautifully and disguised the color banding. My hair isn't healthier after coloring, but it's not more damaged either, and the darker shade makes it look healthier. I'm very happy with this product and will repurchase it. I was nervous because it was so inexpensive, but the results were what I wanted, and I have no complaints.

The Revlon ColorSilk enhanced my color and looked natural. It made my hair shiny and strong. It includes a hair serum which hydrated mr scalp and hair. It covered most of my gray. I like that it was a temporary and did not have any ammonia.

This is a great color, it came out great and Does shine and Does look very natural , My hair is naturally frizzy , but is having a great reaction to whatever is in this kit. It made my grays look like highlights rather than a full on dark color. It is not too dark and I love that. Too dark looks fake. It also comes off the sink, etc easier than permanent brands. So far 2 or three washes and its going strong.

I have black virgin hair. I wanted to buy some hair dye in hopes of potentially tenting my hair. I understand now after buying 2 packs that that is just not possible. My hair is now dry and crunchy. This dye doesn’t not lighten or tent black hair.

Great for the price! Color matched well and like the follow up hair care. I used Kristin Ess, but this works for the price point.
