Good quality
Having to be in a wheelchair after an injury, I needed a legrest that would raise up. These fit well on the wheelchair, however they don't extend for longer legs. I had to fold the footrest, out of the way, to be able to put my leg up and have it rest on the calf cushion. It worked, but was not as stable as it would have been with the footrest. But it was a good buy for the price.

NICE ADDITION TO AN OLDER WHEELCHAIR
I recently suffered a traumatic leg injury, which resulted in it needing to be elevated and me using a wheelchair. My late husband had a wheelchair that I kept, but it didn't come with leg rests. My soninlaw said they would be pretty simple to add, so I ordered these. I'm so glad I did!! I didn't realize the wheelchair that I had kept IS an Invacare, so these were spot on with the fit. They're a breeze to add and use, and with my daughter's help on adjusting them to the correct length for my height, they work perfectly. The price was amazing, and now I have a wheelchair that has ALL the needed pieces to it!

New to handicap journey? Read item description (!!!)
This year, my brother has become a paraplegic. You would have thought that someone would have sat down and reviewed all the resources you need and explain the why… well, no, that doesn’t happen. This results in buying the wrong item or unnecessary items and wasting time/resources to find the right item. I hope reading this review will help you decide if this will help you. This particular item is leg rests for a wheelchair that “extends”. This means, the leg rest will raise up (similar to a manual recliner on a chair). This also means that this will extend the length of the wheelchair from (standard 32” front to back” to about 48”). Pro’s if you need leg rest with extender (which we did not): - Good quality, easy to install, the length is adjustable, and if bundled with a wheelchair - ABSOLUTELY GREAT price. Reasons why this was not for our family: - My brother is 6’2” (or more - candidly, I haven’t had the need to measure his height) and requires the maximum height for wheelchair seat (some are adjustable). - He needed leg rests that allow his legs to hang as close to 90 degrees from hip to floor (hip replacement). - With the leg extender rests, the mechanical equipment on top gets in the way of transitioning from items to/from wheelchair. These type results in substantial harmful impact to his knees and legs. While we did return these leg rests, it had nothing to do with quality or service.

Fits well and does the job
I have a Drive blue streak wheelchair, I am 6’2” and 245 lbs. I just had knee surgery and have a non bearing splint and need my foot raised. The foot peddle isn’t long enough for my leg with the splint, but is long enough for my leg with no splint. Obviously this is do to the splint. The calf support is good and does good for keeping leg raised. The total structure is decently made. Only issue I ran into is the locking latch needs to pushed in with a little more force than typically expected but has held up really well.

Work well
Shouldn't these be a part of the wheelchair? Really, are people with a disability which requires the use of a.wheelchair, supposed to hold up their feet so they don't get run over by the chair?

Adjustable many ways.
This FITS the Drive Medical Cruiser III Light Weight Wheelchair! Clicks on easily and tightly. Chrome and black finish on the metal bars does not match the bronze on 18-inch Cruiser III Wheelchair but is not noticeable because most is black just like our chair. Plastic footrest is not meant to stand on - don't. Leg/calf support and cushion is comfortable, adjustable and moves out of the way like the footrest to easily let user (my girlfriend) step in and out. Footrest adjusts in and out too, at small increments of around 1/4 inch each (very good design). NOTE: All wheelchairs take some patience and mechanical savvy to adjust for person using it - once understood, you'll be pleased with this affordable replacement.

Not for full grown adults
Photos of extensions are deceiving. Pictures taken to make it look like extensions will cover many different sizes. Patient is only 5'3" tall and the right foot extension, FULLY EXTENDED, was too short for her to fully extend her right leg. In addition, it was difficult to put the new extension on the chair without having to wrestle with it. If the right extension had been long enough to fit the length of my wife's leg, I would have kept the extension and simply used a drill to widen the holes in the bracket. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER TO CALL. Thankful and grateful for Amazon's return policy for PRIME members. I will not buy anything from Amazon unles it states "Free Returns". There is simply too much inferior, low quality items from China that I will not buy unless it is returnable. In the item descrition it says: "Adjustable Length & Perfect Fit Footplate: Offers a customizable length adjustment and a well-proportioned aluminum footplate, ensuring a snug, comfortable fit for all foot sizes while providing durable, lightweight support tailored to individual needs." Invacare, the merchant who markets this item on Amazon does NOT have a Customer Service number to call. If they did have a Customer Service number, I would have called them to first see if they have an item that would be the correct size. Obviously this is a company that doesn't care about QC (quality control). Just ship it out and hope the customer does not notice. BUYER Beware!
