4K 3840x2160p WiFi Digital Microscope Camera with Adjustable Metal Stand, Wireless Portable Microscope for Smart Phones and Windows Mac PC

As a replacement for my old 20-quid USB microscope which had failed, this has some really useful extra features. It has a nice cylindrical body, which is easy to make adaptors for. I'm not sure that this is really a 1920x1080 device; the manual - an actual hard-copy colour-printed one (in comprehensible English!) - states it's only 1280x720 when connected via USB cable to a PC, and I can confirm that. Works as a native USB webcam at that resolution in OBS. Wireless operation with my iPhone 7 was a revelation, and seamless using the free 'DM Wifi' App-store app. The app's menu does offer 1920x1080 and even higher resolutions, but looking at the captures, I suspect they are being upsampled from 1280x720, with no real increase in resolution. The stand is super-useful, not only for keeping things in focus, but for maintaining image orientation. The only thing I would comment on is that the stand's camera holder ring is sized to accept the flared clear lens spacer, but then the clamping screws have to be run in a long way to hold the much narrower microscope body, compromising rigidity and alignment (see first photo). I designed and 3d-printed a simple spacer (see other photos) and it's now rock solid.

What a great product. The camera is very good quality outputting to either computer monitor or mobile phone. •Light adjustment is OK though the camera adjusts based on light anyway so dimming or increasing the brightness has limited effect on the picture. •The output to the mobile phone is great and given that the camera has a built-in battery, that's very handy; the only downside to the output to mobile phone is that the icons for "take picture" or "record video" are in portrait mode on the phone display, but the image shown on the screen is in Landscape orientation so you have to turn the mobile phone to landscape but then the icons are sideways and don't move with the picture. There is a rotate option but only rotates 180° and needs to rotate 90°. This is a very minor issue and takes only a few seconds to get used to. Highly recommended

This is an upgrade from my long-standing Microcapture model - which still works well, but is USB only and had no stand. This microscope is an essential tool in my stamp collecting. Its magnification levels help in spotting flaws in stamps, seeing fine detail and taking images for inclusion in the collection or in selling stamps. It was easy to put together out of the box. The software worked first time both on PC and smartphone. The microscope is rock steady on its stand and the height has good adjustment. The lights are great though I use them around 50% power most of the time. The stand is slightly shorter than I would have liked as it prevents a high enough position to photograph the whole of a large stamp - the work round for that is to simply hand hold the scope for that rare occasion. I have not had it in use long enough to know how long the battery lasts between charges, but it is certainly a week at least.

It was quite straightforward to set up with the app and connect it to my phone. Assembling it was easy enough too. The rack and pinion stand is much better than some of the others. The 1080p resolution is ok for a lot of purposes but not startling. I wanted to use it for botanical purposes. However I bought this as a used item and it turned out to be faulty, the battery would not change or hold its charge, so I returned it. Would I buy another? Not sure. I might pay more money for a conventional microscope.

At the price, honestly is was doubtful of the quality of this purchase, however, i am pleasantly surprised not only is the picture and video quality as advertised, it was very easy to set up and use, additionally the build quality of the fully adjustable microscope stand is sturdy with solid alluminium components and durable nylon fittings. Definitely value for money. Happy shopper :)

I wanted a microscope on a stand to be able to take measurements of plant seeds. When the focus is adjusted there is a central cone which moves in & out. By adjusting it so that the cone is level with the focusing ring I can set it to the same focus & then adjust the height on the stand to focus the image which gives the same magnification which I can calibrate against some graph paper. A scale on the focusing ring would be usefull but I suppose I can add a marker using tippex. The seed shown is 1.2mm long. The height adjustment is good, there is a small amout of backlash but the locking screw can be applied lightly to prevent the scope from dropping while at the same time allowing it to be adjusted. Another reviewer mentioned the glare from the aluminium base but a square of paper can be sellotaped to the base to reduce this. I believe the updated base has side illumination which will improve the image.

What a fantastic purchase! Right from the build quality of the stand to the image and detail the microscope itself can uncover. I note some reviews talking about the ‘x zoom’, which I cannot comment on, but hopefully my pictures (more to come!) will give some indication of what you can expect. I bought several a couple of days ago, for an education setting and they have been a real hit. The fact that we can gather around an iPad or Smart screen (no software required on PC, works with the Camera App) virtually eradicates any sharing issues, apart from the ‘can I put my finger under now?’!? One of them did turn off after about an hour and I was a little concerned about battery life. To check, I charged them all and left them on - they all lasted over 2hrs. I believe the incident, therefore, was caused by a ‘crash’, which is referred to in the manual and a reboot sequence (two button press) detailed. Finally, even though you don’t need the PC software, it is worth going to their webpage as they are offering a free stand upgrade (with two additional lights on the base) for free! Oh, and being rechargeable, they can used anywhere!

I don't believe that this is close to 1080 resolution, and I have my doubts if it's even 2MP. It also is more like 50 times zoom and nowhere close to the 1000x advertised. Once you lower it for max magnification, the lighting falls off the centre and everything in the centre falls into shadow. It's really a toy and might suit children or those just wanting a low res, low magnification tool. Be aware that part of the zoom range is achieved using the digital zoom buttons and you can visibly see loads of digital noise if these are used, with a corresponding fall off in sharpness and resolution. Better saving the pennies for something with a more up to date sensor of at least 10 to 20MP and side lighting is a must for serious use (ie you'd have to buy two gooseneck clip on LED lamps to use). The picture shown was the very best I could do with additional lighting and it's just not sharp at all. At 1000x mag as advertised you'd have that stylus filling the shot!

Funciona tal y como se anuncia. Buena calidad de imagen y funcionalidad general. Se conecta y opera a la primera (tengo un iphone). Lo utilizo para ver el filo de la cuchillería.

Ovviamente non é un vero microscopio, non si può osservare per trasparenza, ma é bellissimo osservare oggetti di uso quotidiano, trama di tessuti, foglie e fiori, insetti .... tutto quello che la curiosità suggerisce. L'ottica é ottima , funziona sia sul cellulare , sia sul PC, dove si possono memorizzare foto e filmati (insettini , non visibili ad occhio nudo, che si muovono) PS, la seconda foto è un particolare di una monetina da 2 centesimi

Cep telefonuma ve işteki bilgisayara çok çabuk kurdum ve çalıştırdım. Kurulumu çok kolay. Uğraşmıyorsun. Evimdeki bilgisayarada kurup deneyeceğim. Kurulumu için hiç uğraşmıyacağımı düşünüyorum.
