Stuck to pigeons favourite patio railings with the clear silicone using a mastic gun. Adheres well and immediately pigeons abandon using our patio as a toilet perching place. Had some of the spikes a couple of years ago and although plastic they are still in good condition and doing the job.

Arrived promptly, well packaged. Cannot use glue as suggested due to wind- so had to screw these in. Has kept the pigeons and magpies away - no ore cleaning pigeon poo Will have to find a cure for Seagulls which are a nuisance, pooing as they fly over the house, the car....

Bought for a nursery school where a sloping roof eave had become a favoured roosting spot for pigeons, and their poop was creating a bio hazard in the playground. I cleaned the ledge of waste, found the spikes easy to cut with pliers to shape the first strip to fit in an awkward corner, and fitted the remainder in a double row. The glue was easy to apply using a caulking gun, and job was done in a few minutes. All the proof I needed was that all spikes are still intact a month later - not broken - and stuck where I installed them, no pigeons, no mess. Time will tell how long they last up there, but so far I'm very pleased with the swift delivery, the ease of use , and the results . I definitely recommend this product - it worked !

The spikes were easy to install and stopped the birds piercing straight away. My only issue is that after 8 months one of the strips of spikes fell off. There was plenty of adhesive and it was applied as instructed, it just appears to have failed. What was left of the adhesive had long since dried up so were left with a missing section that’s hard to reach because of the other spikes.

Pigeons were increasingly being attracted into the garden by seeds falling from garden bird feeder. Not much to be done but what the big problem was that they were perching along trellis fitted along sides of deck and the mess on the deck was unsightly, unhealthy not to mention expensive as the mess lifted the paint when cleaned off. Enter Defender plastic pigeon spikes. Result, still pigeons around, but no perching on trellis and consequently no mess whatsover. First day or two the aborted landings provided entertainment, but the point is no birds harmed. The pack is complete with correct glue cartridge (You will need a cartridge gun to use) instructionand booklet including pest birds prevention hints etc is in fact very interesting. I fitted using very small brass screws through the holes which run right along the base which worked perfectly. The ability of the spikes to be easily snapped enabled exact fit to length. Finally, the transparent plastic means the spikes are surprisingly unobtrusive. Excellent all round product.

A neighbour kept feeding the pigeons and would not stop despite being asked, so I had a problem with the pigeons for a while. As long as they were getting fed they were never going to move on. I bought these spike strips along with a waterproof adhesive. The strips have 'weak' points along their length so they can be broken to suitable lengths to fit the window ledge. I first scrubbed the windows ledges to get rid of all the bird mess and provide a clean surface for the adhesive. The strips were easily fixed in place with the adhesive. I've had them in place for over a year now and they have worked perfectly. I no longer have problems with pigeons. Prior to that I couldn't even open my windows because of them. In my case they have been 100% effective. I thought that the spikes might have broken or become brittle over time but they seem absolutely fine. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Very sturdy product good protection

Having used a few other bird spikes, these stand out. 1. they are easy to break into whatever length you want. 2. UV stabilised for long life in the sun. 3. sticks to silicone adhesive (others I bought didn't). 4. length is perfect to repel pigeons - shorter ones are less reliable. 5. comes with a wonderful book explaining lots of interesting and useful things about pigeons. Made me sympathise with them while at the same time understanding how to deter them from building their home where it's not welcome. So much thought and care put into this product, and good value for money considering the 30m length and adhesive.

Il prodotto è molto valido, leggero e facile da montare,. Il punto negativo è che il silicone in dotazione, 2 tubi per 30 metri di punte, è bastato per incollarne 22 senza sprechi. Se avessi dovuto incollare gli ultimi 8 metri avrei avuto bisogno di un tubo di silicone in più. Non si può usare un filo di collante perché se poi si stacca un pezzo e cade giù colpendo qualcuno si passa un guaio. L'ideale è un tubo di silicone ogni 10 metri di punte.
