Firstly: Yum! Cooking with Hunter & Gather Organic Beef Tallow has opened a new dimension of deliciousness! The scent is meaty - of course. The taste of my food is now more beefy too. My current favourite is to give potatoes a coating of beef tallow before roasting. I've recently added beef tallow to my cooking arsenal, replacing the beef drip I had been using. I now fluctuate between beef tallow and organic coconut oil. One of the advantages to beef tallow is the high smoke point - meaning the oil burns at a higher temperature. As a result, I'm super keen on trying the tallow to make popcorn with. This is on my list of things to experiment with. This is a good quality product!

I love this and I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve bought and used it. Before using tallow I had used butter or olive oil in the past and found they left my food quite oily, but this is amazing and I would say for example with scrambled eggs it gives a creamy texture rather than oily which I really enjoyed. Will definitely buy again, well worth the money!

Definitely works,no more dry skin x it is very greasy so careful with clothes until it has been absorbed.

Very good quality tallow with a smooth consistency. It feels really nice on the skin, the smell to me is quite noticeable but I’ve asked others around me and they all say they can’t smell it. It’s the best moisturiser I’ve ever used on my skin and the benefits are great for the protection of our skin and comparing the price of this to the price of a leading moisturiser makes it even more a clear winner

The tallow itself is good, however the net weight only comes to 290g, not 300g. I understand there is a margin of variance due to it being an organic product but this is quite a consistent pattern. If using for cooking this probably isn't much of an issue, however if using perhaps for soap making with NaOH it can really throw the end product off. TLDR: Tallow good, net weight seems on the stingy side.

Gave the Hunter & Gather Organic Beef Tallow 300g 5 stars. Absolutely amazing for cooking—used it on elk steak, beef steak and chips and the flavour is next level. Gives everything a proper rich taste and cooks really well at high heat. Love that it’s just one clean ingredient too. If you’re into cooking meat properly, this is a must-have.
