One was surprisingly fast- the next rather slow
A few days ago I bought the 128GB version, which I found performs much the same as the 32GB keys of various makes I have lying around. Slow, that is. It takes a good long time to fill a key of this size. Then I decided to try the 512GB version. It looks exactly the same apart from a "USB 3.0" legend but the difference is dramatic. I've done no formal tests (yet) but this key feels really fast - approaching the speed of the 2TB USB mechanical hard drive I use for general backups. (This may not be a true speed comparison as the latter is a USB 2.0 device, but the new big drive is certainly way faster than the smaller ones.) I was blown away by how quickly it writes multi-gigabyte video files so I have no hesitation in recommending it, not just for backup but also for a lot of other things that traditionally required a USB mechanical drive. So I bought a second one. This looks identical but writes at only a fraction the speed of the first one. I cannot explain why. It seems you may be lucky and get a fast one, but if not you're down in the usual slooow lane. For my intended usage (backing up video projects) it doesn't matter too much that my backup will take a week rather than just a few hours; once done it won't be repeated. And I'll keep the first one for when I need to save stuff in a hurry. A final note for Linux users. These drives come formatted as ExFAT but I've found this to be unreliable when using rsync. Reformatting to ext4 cures the problem and rsync runs like a dream. This applies to all the USB keys I've tried, by the way.

Economical Pen Drive
I picked up the 256GB Integral Neon Yellow USB 3.2 stick recently, mainly because I needed a flash drive for my mums digital picture frame. This one is perfect for what I need it for. Performance-wise, it’s decent. I’m not expecting top-end SSD speeds from a plastic USB stick, but transfers are quicker than my older USB 2.0 drives and it has been perfectly fine for moving photos, videos, and work files around. I’ve used it on a Windows PC as well as the Digital Picture Frame and it’s been recognised every time without any fuss. The casing is lightweight plastic. It doesn’t feel premium, but it also doesn’t feel flimsy. The cap fits on the back when you’re using it, which stops it getting lost. Heat hasn’t been an issue so far but it does get warm with big transfers, but nothing worrying. My only small complaint is that the actual usable space is a bit less than 256GB once formatted, but that’s normal with most USB drives. Otherwise, it’s done exactly what I bought it for, and it’s been reliable. Due to its colour its bright and easy to spot, it has plenty of space, and so far its good performance. I would recommend this flash drive. I like sharing my experience in case it helps someone else, as I always find detailed reviews useful when I'm deciding.

NOT RECOMMEND, had to use 5* just to get to top of list, wouldn’t give 1!
Sadly no good, only loaded small amount then froze, couldn’t access data and couldn’t delete. Contacted Amazon very kind and said return for refund, unfortunately as sensitive work data was maybe stuck on it was unable to do so. Can’t even get access to it. Bit embarrassing as had given it as a birthday present, £50 wasted. Ordered different brand to replace gift, hopefully will be more successful than this. Should have read further down on reviews, seems lots of problems with this drive, DON’T BUY!

Unreliable USB drive - broken within months
Firstly, this is a review of the 256GB USB stick. It was purchased to be the storage in a Blink Sync Module 2. After a month or two it would randomly disconnect and be unseen by the Sync Module 2 and after two months the Sync Module reported that the drive had been removed, even though it hadn't. Reinserting did not help. The drive was tried in other devices and, sure enough, it could not be recognised. Inserting the drive achieved nothing, it was as though nothing was inserted at all. I believe this condition is caused by a broken crystal on the board and replacing this crystal can bring the drive back to life, but I don't have any replacement crystals and the drive doesn't contain any critical information to make the task worthwhile. Given the extremely light use and short lifespan of this drive, this suggests that it uses sub-standard components and, from reading other reviews, failures seem common. Therefore, I recommend purchasing something else as it does not seem easy to get a replacement once failure occurs. Amazon suggest contacting the manufacturer even though, legally, the responsibility for supplying defective goods lies with the retailer. There are some good reviews for this drive so perhaps I have just been unlucky. When it did work, it seemed of average speed, a little slow but that didn't matter much for its intended purpose in a sync module 2. With no replacement forthcoming, I must now pay for a new stick. I have other Integral usb sticks from years ago which seem fine but will steer clear from the brand for the foreseeable future.

Integral 128GB Neon Blue USB 3.0 Gen 1 Flash Drive
The Integral 128GB Neon Blue USB 3.0 Gen 1 Flash Drive is truly a standout memory stick! I recently purchased a couple of these vibrant neon blue drives for my Blink Sync Module, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Previously, I was using a metal drive, which would heat up too much for my comfort, so I opted for a plastic one, and it’s made all the difference. With USB 3.0 speeds, these drives are perfectly compatible with my sync module. I checked on my PC, and it’s formatted as exFAT, which is fantastic for my requirements. One of the most impressive features is the plug-and-play capability—no cumbersome driver downloads required! They are incredibly lightweight, making them easy to carry around. I also love the included red LED light that indicates when the drive is in use; it's a thoughtful design feature that many modern USB sticks overlook. Moreover, the Integral flash drive comes with a protective lid. This is a refreshing change, as many manufacturers have stopped including this essential feature. The lid helps keep dust and debris out of the connectors, ensuring longevity and reliability. In summary, this well-crafted USB flash drive strikes the perfect balance between weight and size. If you're searching for a speedy and stylish flash drive, look no further—this little gem is a must-have!

Bright, reliable and good storage
Great little USB stick with plenty of storage. The bright colour makes it easy to spot so you’re not losing it all the time. Transfer speeds are decent and it works exactly as expected. Feels lightweight but still solid enough for everyday use. Good value for the capacity

Cheap price and cheap quality
Case is very cheap, plasticy and light. The lid has a loose fit and will likely fall off in your pocket. Real capacity is 232GB. Diskmark is showing a best-case Read Speed of 117MB/s and a best case Write Speed of 30MB/s. The read is acceptable for most applications but filling 232GB at 30MB/s is in reality, painfully slow! Bottom line is that you can't really argue with the value, despite the lower quality. Hopefully, the memory itself will work for a decent length of time??
