Real Display Insect Taxidermy Big Set in Box for Collectible

I bought this as a gift for my 6 y.o daughter. She loves it. It arrived very well packed with lots of bubble wrap packing and in a box. The frame is made well, and all insects were intact and look great. Some folk talk about the smell that come from these display cases. The smell is that of the moth ball (you can see it in a box in the right corner) to prevent mold and infestation. This frame is very well made and the subsequent smell is very minimal. You will see from the picture I took of the item it is a little different from the picture they have, but I totally understand it depends on what they can catch. I didn't think the spider would be something my daughter would appreciate, but it is her favourite specimen in the box. Also good to teach her about the difference between insects and arachnids. I would not hesitate to recommend this product from this seller.. Will look for butterflies next time.

I bought this one partially based on the review of someone else saying the glass could be removed easily bc very little is glue used but that was not the case for mine. Mine was very well constructed which is a good thing for most people who buy this, just unfortunately not for me. Despite my very thorough and gentle efforts, I could not get into the case without completely breaking the glass. I needed the pretty golden moth to be removed for a project I was going to use it for but it was also pretty thoroughly glued in there as well. (Again not a bad thing for most people, just for me for what I wanted it for.) Great quality though and beautiful. Strong moth ball odor though too when you get it. I had to move it to garage bc it was filling our small home up with the scent. Seems to have dissipated though a bit.

This piece is an amazing value for the money! I have two other boxes that are identical but with different insects and I spent $100 on each and many of the insects were damaged. I wish I would have seen this product first! The insects are in impeccable shape, they are extremely secure to the backing and were packaged for shipping with a lot of care. There is a strong odor when you first unpackaged them display but it airs out after a few days. I will be waiting for more options to come up to buy more! I’d love to see a butterfly collection!

3 stars due to the smell. They need to find a better way to preserve them in the case. Mothball smell central. Everything else looked to be intact
