Junk
Junk do not buy way to stiff Can’t compress the suspension at all it acts like it’s locked. Not surprised by the way the shock metal looks. It has burrs on the piston and overall junk metal. Also it is was longer than described.

Limited pre-load adjustment.
Read the fine print to make sure this shock will match your needs. While the description says it has a 400 lb loading capacity it later says it is only suitable for kid's bikes or ATV's and is not suitable for adult pit bikes...which, unfortunately, is what I bought it for. While it is true the shock is technically "adjustable" as claimed in the description, the adjustment is very limited...just five notches on the lower nut. That being said, I am 165 lbs and I have been able to make the shock work on a little electric pit bike I built. So for the price it turned out to be an okay deal. Note that the mounting holes, top and bottom are 10mm in diameter. But if you don't happen to have metric bolts on hand you can get the shock mounted using #8 3/8" bolts and a thin shim about the thickness of soda can aluminum wrapped around the bolt.

The shock shaft is made of crappy iron
The shaft will bend if a person who is over the weight of 145lbs which most adults are. And the description says it holds 400lbs that is BS because after it states that it is made for kid and will hold most kids too do not buy and save up for a more expensive shock that is not made of crappy iron

Solid Construction Direct fit
The Hooup 10" shock is a direct fit for my scooter. I'm not to sure about the finish or plating on this shock, right out of the box you can already see rust forming around places that were not properly cleaned or finished especially around the numerous arc spattered areas. If this much mess was left on the outside, what would you find on the inside? Worse? The shock is plenty stout with a clean spring action. It will do it's job and last if you take steps to correct the unprotected surface areas. I think I will spray a little Ospho around the rough spots, paint, and use it for now. Honestly I really expected a better quality product for a shock in this price range. I gave the Hooup Shock absorber four stars for fit & function, I subtracted one star for poor quality control including the sloppy finish.

Too stiff
I put this on my kids 80cc dirt bike and this thing is so stiff it barely moves when I sit on it and I'm 230lbs, when my son is riding it it's like it has not suspension at all.
