Strong flavor hard to mask
I’ve never used a product like this before. Brewers yeast has a very noticeable flavor, which is hard to mask. Masks best in chocolate, and I imagine it would go well in savory food. I got for boosting milk silly while breast feeding, but I don’t think it’s helping because I can’t eat much of it in a day due to its flavor.

Great Quality Brewer’s Yeast — Perfect for Lactation Cookies and Baking
The NOW Foods Brewer’s Yeast Powder is a really solid quality product, especially if you’re using it for recipes like lactation cookies or adding nutritional boosts to foods. We specifically use this for making lactation cookies, and it mixes in well with dry ingredients. The texture is a fine powder, not overly clumpy, which makes it easy to blend into dough or batter without affecting the consistency too much. Flavor-wise, brewer’s yeast does have that natural slightly bitter, nutty taste (which is normal), but in cookies or baked goods it blends in well with chocolate chips, oats, peanut butter, or brown sugar. If you’ve used brewer’s yeast before, this tastes exactly how you’d expect — clean and fresh, not stale or overly harsh. It’s also nice knowing it has naturally occurring protein and B vitamins, which is why a lot of people use it for nutritional support or postpartum recipes. The 1-pound size is great because it lasts a while, even with regular baking. Pros: ✔ Fine powder — mixes easily into recipes ✔ Fresh, clean brewer’s yeast flavor (not stale tasting) ✔ Works great for lactation cookies and baking ✔ Good source of naturally occurring protein and B vitamins ✔ Large 1-pound bag lasts a long time ✔ Good value for quality and quantity Cons: ✖ Strong natural yeast smell (normal for brewer’s yeast, but noticeable) ✖ Slight bitter taste if used in large amounts without sweet balancing ingredients ✖ Not the same as baking yeast (important for new users to know) Overall: If you’re making lactation cookies or adding brewer’s yeast to recipes for nutritional purposes, this is a great quality option. It mixes well, tastes fresh, and the larger bag size makes it practical if you bake regularly.

Tasteless in baked goods
I used this for baking goods to increase milk supply. Not sure if it worked but I don’t think much does for my purpose nor do I know what other people use it for. You do not taste it in baked goods even if you add a lot. I’ve made oatmeal cookies, regular oatmeal, chocolate chip cookies, brownies etc and don’t taste it neither does my family as they have eaten it on accident aswell even though they were afraid to eat it assuming it would alter taste so I’d say it is really tasteless and I’m not just being biased because I want I to work. Also for the price this is a great size tub of brewers yeast. The smell doesn’t bother me and I think it is a high quality product and the wide mouth jar is easier to use and not messy compared to bagged brewers yeast.

Very good for you
Almost tasteless, which is good taste like a spa drink

Comes in a generous 1-pound size
I’m really happy with this brewer’s yeast powder from NOW Foods. The quality is excellent — it has a fresh, nutty aroma and blends easily into smoothies, oatmeal, and even savory recipes. I especially like that it’s packed with naturally occurring protein and B-vitamins, which makes it a simple way to boost nutrition without having to take extra pills. It’s also very versatile. I’ve used it in baking, sprinkled it over popcorn, and mixed it into sauces, and it works great every time. The texture is fine and not overly gritty, so it incorporates smoothly into foods.

Excellent
I love this Brewers Yeast. I add it to my morning smoothie, I can't taste it, but really gives me the energy I needed. As a vegetarian I think I wasn't getting enough B vitamins -- this fills that missing nutrition perfectly! Thanks!

Aftertaste not good
Something about this could be good, however the aftertaste just isn’t great.

Great price point, great to use for my ducks
Great supplement for my ducks, the smell is not that great but the nutrients and everything inside of it is completely worth it. It is so easy to use and my ducks love it.

Obviously, the flavour isn't fantastic on its own. I used this for making lactation treats, which ended up tasting great. I do NOT use the recommended amount in one go because of the taste. I sprinkle in on peanut butter toast, marmite, you can put it in soups and most cooking in small amounts. Helpful in lactation.
