Deep Conditioning Treatment

I’ve been following a modified CGM for 3 months now, and I am in love with this conditioner! It is perfect for my fine, high porosity, 2b/c waves/curls. If you are looking for something ultra moisturizing, this is it! I apply it in the shower, do a thorough squish to condish, then cover with a shower cap and use a Thermal Haircare Wrap for 30-45/minutes, which I heat up twice. I thought this process would annoy me, but once I tried it, I found I loved it! And the results are amazingly soft hair. Ya’ know how when you rinse out conditioner, you feel all the slipperiness as you wash it out? With this conditioner, I don’t feel that. It’s as if my hair is soaking up all the goodness, instead of it just sitting on the outside of my hair and then rinsing it away. I first bought some trial size products from the Jessicurl website to try them out. I loved all but the hairspray. The little trial size bottle of deep conditioner lasted me over 2 months, after which I ordered a full size product on subscribe and save. I do deep conditioning treatments every 2-4 weeks now and I won’t go without this conditioner. It is protein-free, which I like. I also buy the fragrance-free version since my skin is sensitive. All Jessicurl products have fragrance-free options, which I really appreciate!

No irritating fragrances and super moisturizing for hair.

OMG! For anyone that struggles like I do with all the perfumes in hair products, this is a god send. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I don't have a lot to compare it to, because I can't go near scented products. Without hair product, I was completely at the mercy of the hair gods. Between the curls and the low porosity hair, everyday was a new "hair adventure". With Jessicurl, I've had very consistent hair days, and I look forward to many more. FWIW, I can compare it to jojoba oil and argan oil. It doesn't leave the hair feeling oily like they can. If I got lucky and used *just* the right amount of argan oil, it didn't leave the hair feeling oily, but I struggled to find that sweet spot on a regular basis. Jessicurl consistently leaves my hair soft and, most importantly, cooperative. It's also super easy to use: just apply to wet hair. Three cheers for Jessicurl!!

To me this is not a “deep” conditioning treatment. A nice conditioner, YES! But not quite as moisturizing or conditioning as I would have hoped. I have fairly thick, somewhat dry 3a (or so) curls, but I don’t like oils. I like that these products are available in fragrance free, since I am somewhat sensitive.

So, since high school (i'm now 37), I struggled with dry, straw-like hair. I just didn't understand what was wrong with my hair. What makes it extra frustrating is the fact that dye has never touched my hair. I've never bleached my hair, or done any harsh salon treatments to my hair. Furthermore, I rarely use heat tools. I could not understand what in the world was wrong with my hair. But, finally, FINALLY, I find a hair dresser who has a YouTube channel that explained something that made sense to me. She explained with a sponge what hair porosity is. Through that video, I learned that I have extreme low-porosity hair caused by years of using sulfates and silicones. Maybe sulfates and silicones are fine for you. But for me, I have noticed a detrimental effect on my hair. Anyway, this same hair dresser explained that to fix extreme low porosity hair, I need to use a deep conditioning treatment with little to no protein. So, I did a search and found this one. I've been using this treatment once a week for about a month in a half. After every time I've used it, I did notice small improvements each week. Even the first week when I only saw a little bit of improvement, that was HUGE for me as I had been struggling with my hair since high school. I was so excited to see SOME sort of results!! Today, I did the treatment again, and I noticed even more positive changes to my hair. So, I'm gonna keep using it. In fact, I'm actually running out of the one I have, I'm gonna be putting in an order for more!! AHHH I am SOOO excited to find SOMETHING that works!!! Woo hoo!

I started the Curly/Wavy Girl Method and learned how important deep conditioning is. My hair, beaten up by a desert climate, wind and hard water, definitely needs it frequently. Jessicurl was recommended by a YouTuber I follow, and while I didn't care for their shampoo and conditioner, this deep conditioning treatment is awesome. It is very thick and buttery, so much so that it can be a bit difficult to work throughout the hair. But after combing and squishing it in with lots of water and letting it sit for around 45 minutes under a microwavable insulated cap, the moisture penetrates my hair, making it so smooth, soft, moisturized and healthy. I can't stop touching it! I also really like the refreshing lavender citrus scent. I have a pretty strong fragrance allergy, but I can tell this scent is all-natural and it doesn't bother me. But Jessicurl has an unscented version of every product too!

This is the best conditioning product I’ve come across. I’ve used it as a deep conditioning mask, as an in-shower rinse-out, and as a leave-in. It is the BEST! My hair is soft and shiny, and you don’t need to use a lot so the 8oz tube will last you longer than you could ever imagine. I have thick, 3b curls, shoulder length hair and I work in maybe a teaspoon’s worth. Happy curls, happy girl! If you’ve tried Too-Shea and it didn’t work, try the deep conditioning treatment - same ingredients for the most part, only difference is that Too-Shea has jojoba oil. Looks like the jojoba is the culprit, for me at least.

I am only giving it one star because this product did not work on my curls. Does not mean it is a bad or not worth the purchase. What doesn't work for me may work for someone else.

I have straight/slight wavy hair and it's very fine. This mask is very light weight but very thick and moisturizing. It's very effective & you dont need a lot so you can use it 2 times per week. I recommend not just for curly hair but for all hair types.
