Good but don't hold ther charger long

Does what it should. Easy to slot in and remove. Could say it's quite pricey as this spare battery is just under 50% of the cost of the hedge trimmer (which came with a battery and charger)

Disappointing Lack of Compatibility InformationI purchased this replacement battery expecting it to be a straightforward replacement for my existing 20V hedge trimmer battery. The battery itself fits the hedge trimmer perfectly and powers the tool without any problems. However, what is not made clear on either the manufacturer’s website or the Amazon product listing is that the charging connection appears to have been changed from earlier versions.My original battery and charger were manufactured in 2019. The replacement battery I received was manufactured in 2025 and has a centre charging socket that is a few millimetres larger than the original. As a result, the charger supplied with my hedge trimmer will not fit the new battery, even though the battery is fully compatible with the tool itself.If the charging system has been revised or upgraded, this should be clearly stated before purchase. Customers should not have to discover after delivery that their existing charger is no longer compatible. If a new charger is required, the battery should either be supplied with the correct charger or the product description should clearly state that older chargers will not work.To make matters more confusing, there appear to be several battery and charging options available for what is advertised as the same 20V system. After receiving the battery, I had to order an additional charger just to see whether the battery could be charged. This cost an extra £7.99, plus £4.99 delivery because it was not eligible for Amazon Prime delivery. This additional cost and inconvenience could easily have been avoided if the compatibility information had been made clear from the start.If the newly ordered charger does not work properly or fails to charge the battery efficiently, both the battery and charger will be returned. The whole reason for purchasing a replacement battery was to get the hedge trimmer working again quickly and without unnecessary complications.The battery itself may be perfectly good, and the manufacturer may well have improved the charging system. However, changing such an important part of the product without clearly informing customers is disappointing. A simple note on the website and Amazon listing explaining that newer batteries require a different charger would have prevented confusion, additional expense, and wasted time.For a well-established manufacturer, this should have been handled much better. Unfortunately, the lack of clear compatibility information, the delay, and the unexpected extra costs have left me disappointed. Unless the new charger resolves the issue completely, both items will be returned, and I will be looking elsewhere for future purchases.
