This thing is GREAT! It worked far better than I anticipated. I used it to house a splice in my low volrage outdoor landscaping lighting. The splice has 2 lights coming off of it. So this housing has 4 cables runnng into it. Note that this comes with a screw terminal to connect wires, but this was not usable for my application. Instead I used 2 gigantic wire nuts. I love the included rubber gromits in 2 or 3 sizes. The lid seems to seal well. One modification I did make was to screw a steel landscaping edging spike onto this, so I can stick it into the ground and keep it from sliding around, while keeping it off the dirt. This item seems durable and likely to hold up in the weather and heat. I would easily buy this again.

I ended up returning this item. It was too small for what I needed. Yet, I gave it a 5 star rating because it was still a strong box and very durable and useful for those who need this size.

So far so good. Decent quality and good sealing fit. The connector strip leave a little to be desired, but had my own to use. It was a little smaller than expected, but I think that is my fault as I may have read dimensions incorrectly. Still works for my application so 4 stars, would be 5 if the connector strip was a little better quality.

Other than the tiny 1/4” screws that holds the cover on the box, this seems to be a well designed box to keep water out of the connection. Check back in one year to find out if it really performs in SC heat, humidity and hurricanes! :)

It is well built and did exactly what it's supposed to do with no problems. Way cheaper than buying something similar at Lowes or Home Depot. Just make sure it get the correct size you need.

Good quality electrical box

I am using this junction box in a marine environment. I have 2 complaints: 1 - the included screws for the cover are made of painted steel, and they WILL RUST. 2 - I selected this junction, over the others, because it was stated that the grommets are for 4mm-12mm cable. The cable that I am working with is 5mm. The grommets are not water tight with 5mm cable. I will address this with some silicone tape, but I should not have to. I hope that the material is UV stable, and I will update my review as necessary.

Worked perfectly for splitting a four-pair cable into two cables using 100BASE-T over each 2 pairs for some PoE cameras. Fit the keystone jacks and connectors quite comfortably to do future work if needed. The waterproof connectors are of surprisingly good quality and I have no doubts they'll be fine.

I used this for a small low DC voltage video doorbell project, where I wanted to connect a solar panel to help top up a small battery pack. I also have a voltage regulator in the setup, so I needed somewhere neat and protected to keep the wires and USB ports rather than having them exposed outside. It has worked really well so far. There was enough room inside for what I needed, and the cable glands tightened nicely around the cables. Once everything was fitted and the lid was screwed down, it felt secure and looked much tidier than the somewhat non-waterproof plastic tub I was using before. The main thing I cared about was keeping water out, and it has done that perfectly so far. It has been through some heavy downpours, and I’ve opened it up a few times afterwards just to check. Each time it has been dry inside, with no damp or condensation. The plastic feels decent, the lid closes down evenly and the gasket seal is a snug fit when tightened. I’m only using it for a small outdoor project, but for protecting cable joins from the weather it has been perfect. I'm very happy with it. It has kept my project wiring and circuitry protected and dry, even after torrential rain.
