Excellent gel for curly hair and lovely smell.

As the title of my review states, this gel has great hold and I would recommend it from that perspective. However, even when only using a minimal amount, it leaves hair very crunchy and is quite difficult to scrunch out. So if you like a natural feeling to your hair, you may not like this. I think I'll stick to other gels in future, but will finish this so it's not wasted.

I did some research before purchasing this and whoever wrote the reviews obviously worked for the company. I thought I would go for a product with a 'middle of the road' price. This gel is more like a glue that left my hair feeling and looking like straw with a wet appearance. Had to wash it out. vile

I got disappointed because after a few months it turned into water. It cant be old but then i dont know what it is. My cheaper gels are still gels not water...i will not buy again. I was after a gel

They are selling old products. The ingredients listed on the seller site are different from those on the actual item I have received . Even on the Briogeo site they no longer make this product with butylphenyl methylpropional-a substance banned in the EU. Not cool man not cool.

Yuk! Just felt like I needed to wash this product straight out - very disappointing as not the cheapest product

This product smells old and musty

Dried my fine 3b caucasion naturally grey hair. I had to get the ends cut off, finally threw it away half-full. Doesn't even mix well with my other "natural" products.

I used to love the old Devacurl Arc Angel gel (before the reformulation that removed all the protein). I’ve struggled so much to find a replacement that would actually hold my curls and give them definition for years since. The ones that had really powerful hold (LA Looks, Garnier, Not Your Mothers, Ouidad) had no proteins or amino acids that would help give definition to my curls. So I’d have hold, but loose and limp waves where I should have curls. Or I’d find one with protein but the hold would be abysmal and I’d end up refreshing my curls every morning instead of being able to go 3 days without needing to. I have fine hair, I need those proteins for my curl pattern to hold itself together otherwise as soon as the cast is broken they just fall apart. This gel is exactly what I was looking for. Protein galore in the entire line, but the gel is the perfect combo of strong hold and hella protein for my hair. It’s got a slimy texture almost that makes it a breeze to work through the hair and ensure every curl is covered and you can feel it forming a cast as I scrunch it in. It’s still workable while damp, but it’s really cool to feel it settling into curls as you go. The gel cast breaks easily whether you use bare hands or a little oil to break it up and despite it being a strong hold, it doesn’t leave your hair crunchy unless you apply way too much. Start small with this gel though, since you can feel that cast starting to form when you’re first applying, let that tell you to add more or not. I easily get 3 days of good curls with this gel before needing to refresh. If my hair wasn’t short right now, I could probably go longer if I wanted to. It locks your curls into shape and keeps them there.

My go to gel!! it provides just the right amount of hold for me and my hair does not get overly frizzy when working in a very humid environment. Briogeo did great with this!
