Slimflex Simple 3/4 Length Insoles - High Density ( Hard )

I've been suffering with Plantar Fasciitis and Plantar Fibromatosis (lumps in the ligament instead of thickening) for the last year. Before getting it, I didn't really understand what could be so bad about it - I now know and sympathise with anyone else who has it. For the first six months I always thought that it was gel or cushioning insoles that I needed. That was until I had an appointment with a chiropodist who told me that it was actually hard insoles that I needed. He then sold me these insoles for £20 telling me that they weren't in the shops. Imagine my shock when I looked on Amazon and found them £12.95! Needless to say I did not return for any other appointments with him. As for the insoles, they are great. There is no give at all in the insole which means that it gives very good support for your foot. It takes a bit of time to get used to having the insoles in your shoes or trainers, but it soon becomes natural. If I don't wear them in my footwear, I soon start regretting it. I've now bought a few pairs so that I don't have swap them every time I wear a different pair. I've now had them since the middle of September 2017 and one pair especially has daily use and is still going strong showing no signs of wear. When I've done my research, the 3/4 length insoles are better for when you can't remove the original insole from your shoes. Don't get cheated by chiropodists like I did when they want you to pay over the odds for these insoles! If you found this review helpful, can you please help me by clicking on the helpful button. I have flat feet and have tried a few different types of insoles over the years. I have found these to be the best, they are comfortable, and provide the right amount of support. I have 2 pairs one for each of my main shoes. I work in a shop and stand up all day and these make a huge difference to my foot pain, now it's almost non-existent!

Perfect - having tendons that unravelled and finally snapped in both feet I can only say these have been life changing and better quality than than those supplied by the hospital. Whilst they do feel a bit hard to start with each time I wear them, after a short while it is less noticeable and they provide excellent support. For me this is the difference between hardly being able to walk at all and being able to walk for an hour and this is why I say they are life changing. They are much better than others I have tried and the 3/4 size means I can use them in trainers, boots and flats without any adjustment. Have ordered more

My NHS physiotherapist recommended these for my flat feet, which she said were contributing to my painful ankles and knees. I had not found the insoles in a certain high-street chemist to be of any help (and they were dearer). The Slimflex ones are firm and had an immediate benefit on my ankles -- they may have helped my knees, too, but I think it was more the standing up to do my typing job and the walking that sorted my knees. However, I would definitely advise buying a larger size than you would expect. My feet are UK size 3 or European 36, with very slim ankles, so I bought the Extra Small, as indicated by the size guide. In fact, the Small were much more comfortable.

I bought these as I get through many pairs of x-line insoles and while they are excellent they are more expensive then these. I was hoping that these might be a good substitute however they do not work for me. I have hypermobile flat feet and very unstable hypermobile ankles. These provide a firm surface which I need, however the bulkiness of the insoles left my feet more unstable in the ankle than with the x-line and I almost injured myself a couple of times when wearing these out for the first time when my ankles "gave way". Also the fact that they are 3/4 length means that the height difference between the raised arch support section and the front foot is intensified, which I find creates a slightly forward tilt that exaserbates my ankle instability. I will try these in wellies but would not recommend them for people with hypermobile ankles in any activite footwear or sporting activities due to the risk of injury. They may be fine for people whose feet and joints are more stable.

I have suffered from plantar fasciitis for over 20 years. During this time I have tried cortisone injections, night splints, customised insoles, Heelease shockwave therapy, scenar therapy and acupuncture. None of these helped. I bought these insoles doubting they would help, but desperate to find anything that would. They are great. Using these reduced the pain by about 90%. I use them in all my shoes. I also use them in my slippers, which really helps first thing in the morning when the pain is worst. After reading the reviews, I bought one size larger. I am a UK size 10 and bought the extra large which fit perfectly.

These felt a bit hard and and if they would be comfortable. They fit my feet and shoes perfectly and were very comfortable for my arch. I have a high arch/instep and these fit snugly which prevents my arches from dropping and causing me foot pain. I did notice however that my boots fit quite snugly now because of the thickness of the insole. I also noticed that I was walking taller, probably because my foot is in the correct supported position. I will buy more pairs of them though as they are so good.
