I recently purchased the Y splitter for side-by-side use in our call center, and overall, it has proven to be a valuable tool. The splitter effectively enables two Plantronics headsets to connect via USB, allowing simultaneous engagement with callers during side-by-side sessions.While the primary functionality is commendable, there is a noteworthy drawback. Neither I nor the colleague I sat with could hear ourselves through the headsets, making communication between seated agents somewhat challenging. Although we could hear and communicate with the callers seamlessly, the inability to hear each other in a noisy call center environment is a noticeable limitation.In conclusion, the Y splitter is a solid choice for facilitating side-by-side interactions, especially given its compatibility with Plantronics headsets and USB connectivity. However, the audio issue affecting self-listening diminishes its overall effectiveness, leading me to rate it 4 out of 5 stars.
