This is a book about self-sabotage. Why we do it, when we do it, and how to stop doing itโfor good. Coexisting but conflicting needs create self-sabotaging behaviors. This is why we resist efforts to change, often until they feel completely futile. But by extracting crucial insight from our most damaging habits, building emotional intelligence by better understanding our brains and bodies, releasing past experiences at a cellular level, and learning to act as our highest potential future selves, we can step out of our own way and into our potential. For centuries, the mountain has been used as a metaphor for the big challenges we face, especially ones that seem impossible to overcome. To scale our mountains, we actually have to do the deep internal work of excavating trauma, building resilience, and adjusting how we show up for the climb. In the end, it is not the mountain we master, but ourselves. Review: Helped me understand my own self-sabotaging habits. - This is a very nice and insightful book. It completely changed the way I look at my own actions and daily habits. Here is why I highly recommend it:Uncovers Blind Spots: It helps you identify subconscious behaviours that you might not even be aware you are doing.Explains Self-Sabotage: Before reading this, I didn't even know what self-sabotaging meant or what it looked like in real life. This book broke it down perfectly.Highly Practical: It was incredibly helpful for me personally, offering eye-opening realisations on how we hold ourselves back.Final Verdict: If you want to understand your psychology better and stop blocking your own progress, you should definitely consider buying this book. It is a very good one! Strongly recommended to get introduced to the self-help genre
Excellent read for anyone who feels self-help genre is too preachy and impractical. Several interesting insight on what does it really mean self-help. Lot of myths busted about the cliched personality development mindset. Some fascinating research-based findings about how the physiological and mental body is connected.

Major Life-Changing Potent.
I have forever known that there are ways and paths of thoughts that I possess. I have known that I do actions knowing well that those actions won't help me. I self sabotage and I see others around me do it. This book really helps you in guiding you to the correct path. First of all - it asks you to come to the book with openness and not defence. If you are going to get defensive, the book encourages you and says the only way to move forward and to get anywhere is by having an openness of mind and heart. This is one way which is it encourages you to get ready for radical change. What is the mountain? The mountain is the one thing and the one set of obstacles and issues in our life that prevents us from living the life we truly want. The book masterfully indulges you, explains to you your own sense of core commitment and makes you understand the rationale behind every action. Then it speaks of various kinds of self sabotages. Are your actions assisting you or taking you further from the ideal life you would like to live? What are the root causes of the actions you take? What do you want? To be free? To be adored? To be recognised. By looking at your actions good/bad the book helps you identify the purpose behind your behaviour. Also helps you identify if this behaviour is honestly a good thing or a bad thing in your life. Helpful in overcoming trauma or soul inflammations as I like to call them. Asks you to reconsider the sense of entitlement. It wants you to reach your inner potential. In order to succeed you must reinvent yourself and embrace the possibility of a radical change. Prepare to feel unhappy and uncomfortable. Get out of the auto pilot stage of life and out of the tunnel mindset. Intrusive Thoughts vs Intuitive Thoughts and more. I can't wait to re-read this book. I read it in 24 hours and was stunned and floored.

Overhyped
I purchased this as this is one of the most read books for personal development. While it did start off well, but I found that it felt very predictable, stretched and repetitive. I tried reading the book 3 times, but couldn't get past a quarter of the book.

Bad print
The print is of a poor quality. Some passages are blury and some pages misaligned in the middle - frustrating
