Discone Antennas D3000/ Scanner Antenna/CB UHF VHF Antennas 25-3000MHz for Scanner SDR Radio, Receive Transmit HF VHF UHF MW SW HF AIR FM FRS GMRS Antenna

I’m building a communications center for my wife and bought two of these discone antennas. One with be on an SDR system and the other on a scanner. I’m getting 2 bars more signal on the discone that I was on a vertical antenna tuned to the same band. I checked the SWR with and antenna analyzer throughout the advertised frequency range and it is very good.

Hooked it up and immediately started receiving transmitions .

Great product takes less than 30 minutes to put it together. and about the same time to get it in the air. Signals coming in from over 100 miles away loud And clear.

Was a little skeptical about a discone antenna for my yaesu ftm 510 but works as advertised 1.3/1 VHF, 1.5/1 GMRS 1.8/1 UHF and receives very well, light weight all weather proof should last years well worth money.

This product is outstanding. It's performance has exceeded my expectations.

Antenna arrived in a slim package. Assembly instructions in good English. All materials were durable metal. Additional screws as the counterpoise (downward facing rods) are held in by small Allen screws. Allen wrench included. Mounting hardware fit a 1.5 inch steel rod. Coax antenna feeds down through the center, no issue with water getting in. Took me an hour to unbox and assemble. Mount on pole before adding last two counterpoise rods.

I was impressed with the quality of this antenna. While I haven’t been able to put it up yet due to lightning in the area, just sitting on the floor I can tell a difference in my scanner reception.

Product exactly as described, easy to assemble and install, comes with multiple Cable ends for different radio applications! A++

This is a nice antenna. The central part is made of strong steel. It assembled easily and the coax that comes with it is nice and thick, high quality. I didn’t scan its frequency response formally but used it and it performed well.

Outstanding reception of all the airband, GMRS frequencies I usually scan, an amazing improvement over my previous antenna. It’s just as great transmitting too, great VSWR over all the frequencies I use, GMRS etc. Quality build.

Purchased this antenna for my Homepatrol 2 scanner I am also a ham radio operator and tried it on 2 meters and 70 cm has a very good SWR 73 VA7GS
