Melissa & Doug Mickey Mouse & Friends Wooden Shape Sorting Cube Baby Toy

This is cute and the quality is good. As shape sorters go, I think this one is nice. It was the perfect choice for my Mickey loving toddler. I’ve got 2 complaints, but they’re very nitpicky so I won’t take away stars for this. First, why wouldn’t they make the octagon red? It would match up with teaching my son about stop signs very well. Instead, they hexagon is red. Since they thought to make the start block yellow, you’d think the would’ve done this too. That’s just a missed opportunity for educational value. Second, and this may be a problem with all shape sorter box toys, the lid removes very easily. So easily, in fact, that my son quickly realized he could complete the task of getting blocks into and out of the box more quickly if he just removed the lid and treated this box like a bucket. Lololol. At the time I introduced the toy he was 16 months old. Maybe as he matures he will be interested in the original intent of this toy. For now it is a Mickey box with a star block, and he’s happy naming the pictures and shapes he knows. .

My 18-month old nephew loves Disney, so whenever he comes over this toy is a favorite. He is learning the shapes. This is a well-made toy and age appropriate.

Great value. Super fun. Great learning toy.
