We sprinkle this salmon in my dog's food and stick onto his Pill Pockets so he'll eat and take his medicine. It's very easy to use, not oily, he seems to digest it well and he likes the taste. It seems like a good quality product and it's a good way for my dog to get a little extra omega-3s, which I think is healthy for him.

I buy in bulk (the 9.5 Ounce Resealable Tub) since my dog and cat both LOVE these treats. A bit stinky (salmon flavored), but not too bad -- and the pets - even finicky ones -- chow down on these like they are going out of style! A bit pricey, but the tub lasts a long time and worth it for a healthy, easy to feed, treat. UPDATE: Contrary to what others are saying, the tub is 3/4 full (not 1/3) and the pieces are quarter sized (see photos), with some being smaller (broken bits) with only a bit of dust in the tub that is great to use as a meal topper.

I originally bought a bag of Purebites salmon since it was on sale for $2.79 for 0.92oz. My two cats were literally on their feet begging for this treat and it instantly became their most favorite above any other type of treat. When the bag ran out, I definitely wanted to get them more freeze-dried salmon, but the Purebites regular price of ~$3.50 for less than an ounce was certainly irksome to me, so I went hunting for other options. After digging through dog treat alternatives, I came across this Stewart Pro-Treat which provides at less than $2 an ounce. I was a bit wary after reading other people's reviews, but after receiving the actual product, I feel like this product is WELL worth the value. The smell is certainly much stronger and a bit less pleasant than Purebites (and I am a bit of a salmon addict myself), but my cats love it all the same. I feed each of my two cats about 3 medium size pieces a day if they've behaved during my long working day out (and I do wonder if they realize this and it helps motivate them lol), and I can see this bucket lasting for a great long time. I was also mildly concerned the 9.5 ounce weight would include the bucket as part of the weight, but I weighed what I got on my mailing scale, and it came out to be over 11 ounces so I'd say the bucket is not taking up the weight, great! I'm gradually setting aside pieces with excess amounts of tough skin so I can cut them up with kitchen scissors, soak them in water, and serve them to the cats for easier eating. I hope this brand keeps up this level of quality, and I will be back for more :)

Right when I opened the package and held out a piece for my dog, she jerked her head back. It smelled like a plastic factory. I left it open for a while. I thought maybe it was because of the plastic bin. It came in, and I tried to give her a piece ang and she was not having it. I then transferred the treats into her ceramic treat container with a rubber around the rim. The next morning, I opened it again and she jerked her head back. It smells horrible, and my dog won’t touch it. I already threw the container away. I was thinking about giving it to one of my neighbors or friends. But I couldn’t give this away in good conscience. If it would’ve smelled a little bit better, I would’ve tasted it myself, but it’s awful.

WOW it's a really large Tub! No joke! I thought I would get something the size of a large soup can! But nope more like a large Pop corn bucket from a movie theater! I usually buy the small pouches from the pet stores which are so over priced Expensive! And you get so little, and just crumbs at the bottom! This is a great value, and high quality, I am very happy with this purchase, better quality pieces and not crumbs! My dog loves them and pawed at the bucket begging for more! 100 percent highly recommend

I will start by saying that I love the beef liver version of these treats. I decided to try the salmon, as my pup tends to need variety, especially during training. These are a little harder to split than the liver treats, as the pieces vary significantly in size and shape. My pup does appear to still enjoy the taste, but I still find she responds better to normal beef liver. They also tend to leave a little bit of an oily feeling behind, which is odd, but I guess should be expected with fish. I think overall, I will choose to stick with the beef liver or chicken treats in the future

I have ordered this product multiple times and have seen good outcomes. Unfortunately, with my most recent order; I have noticed my dog become symptomatic, experiencing softer stools. As an individual who works in the veterinary field, I assume I received a defective item this time around.

The Wild Salmon Dog Treats arrived quickly and my dog absolutely goes crazy for them! The treats are perfectly freeze-dried and come in a small, bite-sized shape that’s ideal for training sessions. When my dog was feeling under the weather and wouldn’t eat, I crumbled some on her food as a topper, and she happily devoured her meal. While they are a bit pricey, the quality and my dog’s enthusiasm make them totally worth it for my furry friend’s health and happiness.

When opened it had this weird smell, not a fishy salmon smell at all, it was more like a chemical smell. My dog ended up trying a couple of pieces and then within a day he was having diarrhea and this is the only thing different in his diet. Needlesss to say we threw the container out as you cannot return it.
