First Alert EZ Fire Spray, Extinguishing Aerosol Spray, AF400 Red 18 Ounce (Pack of 1)

I bought the First Alert EZ Fire Spray after reading about its easy-to-use design, and I’m really glad I did. It’s compact enough to keep in my kitchen cabinet or garage without taking up much space, yet powerful enough that I feel confident it could handle small fires if they ever happen. What I love most is how simple it is to operate. The instructions are straightforward, and the spray design makes it easy to aim at the base of a fire without fumbling with complicated levers or handles. I haven’t had to use it in a real emergency (thankfully!), but I did a quick test with the demo instructions, and the aerosol spreads evenly and feels precise. The 18-ounce can is a nice middle ground—not too heavy to store, but enough to cover a small grease or electrical fire if needed. I also appreciate the sturdy, well-labeled red canister, which makes it easy to spot in an emergency. If I had one minor critique, it would be that, as with all small extinguishers, it’s only for minor fires. But as a supplement to a larger home fire safety plan, it’s perfect. Overall, this is a practical, easy-to-use, and reliable fire safety tool. I feel a lot more prepared having it in my home, and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a compact and effective way to handle small emergencies.

Ready for fire emergencies and much easier, no thinking required, than regular extinguishers. Thankfully have not had to use.

Worth every penny. I had a small kitchen fire and one spray put it out. I have purchased for friend and family.

I originally bought this product a few years ago an they have now expired as per the date printed on the can. I recently purchased a new one from the "orange box store" and I was hesitant to purchase this item from amazon due the fact that it expires. I was worried that I would get some old stock. Anyway I decided to order one and I am happy to say that it is fresh stock as the expire date is 11/16/2017. Luckily I haven't had to use this in a real fire, but I did test my old expired ones out. The first can I tried, I quickly shook up, depressed the nozzle and basically nothing came out. The 2nd one that I tried months later worked just fine (this time I didn't shake it). So the next logical step was for me to start a fire to test it out. I took a large cardboard box filled with paper, applied liberal amounts of wd-40 (flammable), set it in the street away from anything I cared about and lit it on fire with a bbq lighter. After 20-30 seconds the whole box and it's contents were on fire with 4 foot flames. Immediately upon beginning to spray the product as the base the flames stopped and i continued to spray until everything stopped smoldering. That test proved to me it works well. Again, these were expired cans that I used in my test. Does anyone know if you are supposed to (or absolutely should not) shake it? There are no instructions for or against shaking, and in the videos I've watched featuring the product, some shake, some don't.

i have not used it... seems to be pretty easy... i feel safe knowing it's under my sink in cabinet... if I need it

I've not had to use this thankfully, but it's nice to have in the kitchen for safety should there be an emergency. It's small and fits in the cabinet next to the stove, no mounting necessary. Worth the price for peace of mind!

This is something every home should have. Great price and gives peace of mind having it in the home

Haven't had to actually use this yet, but I feel better just having one in our teardrop trailer. Much easier to store than an old school fire extinguisher. If I ever actually use this I'll let you know how well it works.

Convenient and easy to use. Thankfully we haven't had to use it yet, but it provides peace of mind in case of a kitchen fire.
