A must upgrade for sena intercom not so much if powered by a phone.
If you have a sena intercom this is a must upgrade. I have actual bass now! And way louder thank I can handle. If you've owned sena products they are great but their speakers are garbage. Basically tweeters in your ears, little midrange and no bass but good enough for communication and music if you're ok with just below average sound quality. For this price the upgrade is worth it. Be aware that these are physically deeper, so unless you have pockets in your helmet you may have fitment issues. Even in my brand new HJC rpha 70 with nice deep and oval speaker pockets with factory attached velcro the speakers press against my ears and I had to adjust them until the pressure was ok. Depending on your model of sena they may offer a 3.5mm adapter which I found for my SMH10R for $9. And regarding my comment of not recommended if powered by a phone. I tested with my galaxy s10 phone and phones don't have enough amps output from their headphone jacks to power these adequately. Which makes sense as most phones only need to power earbuds.

Great sound and great value!
I have owned a Scala G9x Bluetooth setup for quite awhile and use it when riding solo to listen to music or take an important call. When riding with my daughter, we use it to listen to music or talk with each other while on intercom mode. I have not been satisfied with the factory speakers since day one and have been searching for a replacement. I made the decision to go with the IASUS drop in 2.1 speakers. What a difference these made from the first time I tried them! I plugged them directly into my iPhone while sitting in my living room and held to my ears—I couldn’t believe the awesome clarity, bass, and range of sound. I had my kids come over and listen to the difference between the old speakers and the IASUS drop ins. Everyone was impressed. It was pretty easy to install them but I took extra care to make sure that they were centered over my ear canal on both sides. They do press slightly on my ears but I believe that aids the overall sound as is indicated by the manufacturer. The real world testing was a success. Both my daughter and I were very impressed with the richer and clearer sound of the music when played through these speakers but we were even more impressed with them as intercom speakers. With the old ones at full volume, it was often hard to hear what was said and it had a lot of “crackle” in the background. These are clear and can be used at a lower volume which I believe aids in the experience. I highly recommend these speakers. I have a 1996 Vulcan 800 v-twin with Cobra pipes and so it is pretty loud but these speakers are up to the challenge!

No-no for full face motorcycle helmet and eye glasses
That thing was not designed for motorcycle. Firstly, some riders (like myself) ride with earplugs just to avoid unnecessary hearing loss. The speakers are not able to maintain enough loudness above 40 mph if you wear earplugs. Secondly, I was not able to put my glasses on once I installed the speakers. The motorcycle helmet supposed to be very tight and it is in my case. And as soon as I installed the speakers none of my eyeglasses were able to fit in. Thirdly, this is just a suspicion, when put the helmet on (wearing contacts) I immediately felt light pressure on my ears. Not a big deal but I suspect after 1 hour of riding it might be a huge deal. So if you are a long distance rider you may consider that as a risk point.

Sounds awesome! but need some power to drive them...
These sound phenomenal, far better than most all helmet speakers I've ever heard, but they need power to run... Plugging directly into an iPhone or a media player will not drive these enough to be loud, but will sound good... Personally, I use a Bluetooth headphone amp and they sound awesome... Rated as a 4 here because of the need for some power, but when you have one, it is definitely a 5...

Good overall but there's pros & cons to everything
Let's get right into it, Pros vs Cons and me explaining between the 2. PROS: Great overall sound Good Bass No distortion at high volume Quality build material CONS Large in size and thickness Uncomfortable due to the size So I want to start by saying music is a huge part of my life and music quality and performance is something I always pay attention to. Performance wise these are amazing speakers! I had them installed in 2 different helmet, 1st installed in my open face helmet and than moved them permanently to my full face. Work great for phone calls as well. Have no problems hearing my music or calls especially at high speeds. THE MAIN AND ONLY ISSUE I HAVE with these speakers is they really are big and extremely uncomfortable on the ears, especially if when I have my helmet on for extended periods at a time for longer rides. because they are so wide and thick, they put a lot of pressure on my ears causing pain. I've had to adjust them multiple times in my helmet just to find a spot in my helmet that was tolerable. And because of re-adjusting them so many different times, the adhesive of the Velcro in the helmet has started to diminish slowly. This is the main reason why I moved it from my open face helmet to my full face because the full face has a little more padding to cover the speakers to make it a little more flush in the helmet. The pain was unbearable for my open face helmet. Overall Summary: Great Audio Performance speakers!! but you will be sacrificing a lot of comfort in your helmet for the quality. Now depending on the person, head shape and helmet all vary but personally had I not already installed it in my helmet, and with amazon's no return policy for these once it's already been installed in a helmet, I would stay away from these because even though they are great speakers, they really are just that uncomfortable. I'm stuck with these now so I made some modifications to make tolerable as I stated previously, but now looking back I'd rather of just bought something more thin with similar performance quality to even a little lesser quality for the comfort factor.

Great value for the money.. Superb customer service
These are a meaningful, but not significant, upgrade over stock Sena speakers. They aren't nearly as "tinny". The bass is a bit more noticeable and clarity is noticeable as well. I'd consider them. Well worth the money. The first set I recieved had an issue with one of the speakers being extremely crackley. I contacted iAsus and the responded in about 20 minutes with some basic troubleshooting steps. After have completed those, they had me destroy the set I had recieved (picture confirmation required), and they shipped me another set at no cost. The 2nd set works like a charm. Bottom line.. You're getting a good value for the money, but don't expect theater quality sound in your helmet at this price point. Had I of known the customer service was this stellar in advanced, you could tack a few more bucks on the price and this would still be a great deal in my mind.

Great sound with proper placement
I installed these speakers in a 6D motocross helmet. By first inserting them loosely in the ear sockets, I was able to have them playing and find the best position in the helmet. I cleaned both the speakers and helmet interior with rubbing alcohol and adhered them in with the supplied velcro pads. The speakers fit snug against my ears and have deep bass and a balanced full range. I would highly recommend this speaker kit for any helmet intercom or audio system.

made well, sound good, but I can't hear them riding
made well, and sound quality is good, however so faint, I can't hear them when riding. I followed their suggestions, even put the ear pieces with speaker pockets on my helmet. soooo faint. They might be ok with a bike that has stock pipes, but not with vance and hines. very dissappointed. they need a little headphone amp maybe with a watch battery to give it a boost. I have headphones with similar size that are much louder and sound good, I don't understand why they made these so weak. If you can't do it right....why bother? Should say "not for motorcycles"

Good cardio replacement
If you have an issue with these speakers, you either have your volume settings wrong, or they are not in the right place. These fit in the speaker pockets in my helmet, which unfortunately don't line up perfectly with my ear, but I still have lots of sound/volume although I am missing some bass due to it being off-center for me. When testing outside the helmet the sound was pretty darn good for the price compared to Cardo's price for replacement speakers.
