Lisle 48600 Offset Windshield Locking Strip Tool

Those tool is a great tool. Not only was it easy to use and did exactly what I needed, but it felt good while gripping it. It’s a great price and great quality.

I drive a military K5 blazer, and thanks to mr hail storm, lost the windshield, and side glass This little beauty makes installing the glass pretty easy, put the NEW (dont even try to reused the rubber), weather-stripping in, get it seated right, set the auto glass in, and use this to open up the channel the lock strip fits in, you pul it along, and it opens up the channel, inserts the lock strip. Be sure to use some lube, soap, silicone to keep things slippery, and have a helper hold the glass to be sure it doens't slip and shatter accidentally. Took all of 5 minutes per side to install the glass, and we had never done it before. TAKE YOUR TIME AND DONT FORCE THINGS, and youll have no problems. Works for any car that has the lock strip type weatherstripping, old gm trucks/blazers, ford/etc (diff "blades" for different manufacturers)

It was my first time using a tool like this for putting the lock strip into a window seal, it worked great!! I do have to add I'm a leather worker and out of habit I polish my tools so that it doesn't scratch the leather. Doing it to this tool I'm sure helped it slide through the rubber.

Popped the window out of my track loader, backing in the woods into a branched. Had a hell of a time trying to work it in using screw drivers, lube and putty knife. Got it in about a third of the way and my neighbor stopped ny and said he saw a window guy use a tool and went right in within minutes. We looked on line and he said this was it. Ordered it and it put the trim in within a few minutes. WOW what a time saver. Worth every penny, especially because I didn't break the window by accident! If I never use it again it was worth it.

Never replaced a window before in a vehicle ever.had to replace a solid tinted cap window in my K5 Blazer ..had help with a step stool ,some plastic pry tools to get the old window out, and new one into molding. next, got some soapy water in a spray bottle ,and this awesome tool to finish the job. Finished very easily by myself no problem! Seriously,this tool along with the plastic prys ,are worth every penny!...whole process took me 30 mins.,and saved me a lot of time. Buy it!....or be cheap, and cuss alot hurting your fingers lol.. Tools are worth it!
