Bought these for a cruise we were taking. The retractable part worked well and felt sturdy, the clip meant we didn't have to wear a lanyard, just clip it on a belt loop or purse. The card holder part was great, but the cards fit tight and if you have to pull your card in and out a lot, it gets annoying trying to wiggle it out. Plastic of the card holder was heavy though, and will probably last a long time
