Wish I got these sooner!
I've been a fan of Soundcore for a while, having owned many products of theirs over the years. However, after paying $80 for the X10's a couple years back, and having them for only a couple of weeks before they broke apart, I hadn't bought a set of earbuds from them since...until these ones. And so far, I'm very happy that I gave them another chance. From the very first song I played on these, I was blown away. I was shocked at the bass response I got from a pair of open earbuds. These fit perfectly in front of the ear canals, which is a big reason for that. These earbuds are also very comfortable, they're very lightweight and the ear hooks are soft. I wore these all day with no discomfort whatsoever. The battery lasted me an entire workshift (8-9 hours), and still had juice left. The connection on these is also solid. Through my entire shift, the connection never cut out. They're good for calls as well, I didn't hear any complaints from anyone I was on the phone with, they could easily understand me, my voice wasn't muffled. My last point will be the touch controls, they're very responsive, and what I appreciate about these earbuds, is that they give off a little "beep" so you don't have to guess if you tapped it correctly or not. I'm a little late to the party with these, but I'm happy with my purchase. I'm glad Soundcore is still selling these.

Ordered June 2024, ear loop cracked and broke July 2026
I love Anker products and these have been by far my favorite earbuds. Calls sound great, podcasts sounded great, low music while at work sounded great and I could still have the joy of clearly listening to my quealing toddlers over the toy of the day whether at home, the park, the splash pad or zoo these did not fail or get uncomfortable ever. Win all the way around. Unfortunately I keep losing these and now after two years of near daily use snapped the ear loop part. I tried the tiny earbuds Anker makes (A20i?) but they constantly fall out so I can't leave the house with them. The C30i have great battery life like the V30i but they make my earlobe sore so I gave them to my relative. The C50i seemed like the perfect upgrade and fit , no pinching, no soreness BUT the playtime for charge is only 7h instead of the 10h on the V30i and C30i so it felt like a downgrade and was returned. I do love the over ear design so I'm probably going to purchase the V30i again. All in all very happy with these even with them snapping. Two years seems like a reasonable usage for the price.

Comfortable, Unnoticeable
Very comfortable. So comfortable, I constantly forget I have them on. I have accidentally gone into the shower more than a few times with them because I forgot they were on. I quickly took them off and they survived lol. One nice thing about these, you can wear them comfortably along with over the ear headphones like a PC headset. This way I can still scroll away with my PC headset on. As for issues, one problem is the hyper sensitive button. I cannot use single tap commands because even the lightest touch triggers it. Another unexpected issue, there is no way to turn them off or on without the case! If you forget the case at home, the best you can do is have your phone disconnect from them so they auto power off from being idle. However, after doing this, the only way to turn them back on is to put them in the case, close and reopen it! The volume is a little low but that should be expected since they sit just outside your ear, so you can hear everything else perfectly fine. After 2 and a half years, they finally broke 😢 The earhook snapped off. I feel like I got decent usage out of this, wearing it almost every day. So not too disappointed. I will likely get another set.

Happier than I thought I would be!
These are my first pair of open-ear headphones and it looks like I hit the nail on the head! I am no stranger to Anker and its product quality, so I decided to go with them again on a new product. First of all, even though I selected standard free delivery, they arrived the next day! I will keep them just for that level of customer service! I was a bit skeptical about their comfort at first, but then after wearing them for a few hours, and then falling asleep with them on, I was totally convinced of their comfort and durability. Yes, these are indeed "Ultra-Comfort and light weight". 5 stars there. Performance-wise, they sound very good, but you have to download the app in order to get the best performance out of them. In the app, you can change the sound types or even create your own sound preference with the built-in customizable equalizer. You also need the app to set (or change) the functionality of the touch functions on either earbud. They are plenty loud, but the bass could hit a little harder without losing the clarity. They offer an upgraded pair, Aerofit 2, that I am temped to purchase as well. The Aerofit 2 boasts about having better bass, so it has my attention! 5 stars there too. The app also offers a live language translation function. Free at first, but I'm sure a membership or subscription will be required in the near future. The app also offers audiobooks for those long airport waits as well as some soothing sleep sounds or white background noise to clear your head from a long, hard day at work (or from the kids!). 5 more stars. No connectivity issues yet, except you can't expect to go too far from your phone or source without experiencing some interruption. I went from my kitchen to my patio (straight line of sight) with no issues, but when I went further, about 100 more feet, I could hear the music going in and out. 4 stars (I guess). Overall, I wanted a pair of headphones that were very comfortable (I'm wearing both sides right now) that I could keep on all day that don't stick out from my ears making me look like a Star Trek character. They also had to sound good, allow me to hear my surrounding environment, and be easy to configure and use. These check all of the boxes! As I said, I am very tempted to purchase the next version which costs about twice as much at $80, but if they perform as well as these do WITH better bass, I may just give them a shot!

Good sound and very light weight
I bought these and the Soundcore Aerofit2 units. They work very well. Don't expect crazy bass, however they fit well, provide good sound, and so light you forget you have them on. These types of earbuds are better for your ears and safety. The earbuds that go in the ear are causing long term issues with hearing loss and ear infections. Since you can not totally clean them, ENT's are seeing more ear infections and long term health issues. The hole in those earbuds breeds germs and organisms that you can not get out. Open ear earbuds are much better and also safer since you can hear the sounds around you. If you need crazy bass get the larger over the ear headphones that have a "transparency" type of mode so you can hear sounds around you.

Excellent Battery Life, Bass is Just Okay
Update (2/10/2024): I was able to squeeze some more base out of these today by a trick I recalled with the Life A2 NC when a pair of them had the same issue. Here is the process. So after connecting to the Soundcore app and updating the firmware, which I had done before my first review anyway, I reset the earbuds in the case today. There is a small button near the charging port. Hold that in until the light on the case turns red. Then reconnect the buds. Even with that though, and accounting that these are open-ear buds, the bass was just okay. It was certainly a noticeable improvement from before, but overall still muddy and not impressive. The depth of the soundstage is lacking. I listen to everything from hip hop to classical. It's really noticeable in classical music. Everything feels up front. There is no spacing and depth in the audio. An orchestra ought to sound and feel grandiose. On these it just doesn't. But as I said in my original review, the battery life is great, weight is very light, and they do vocals and everything above bass pretty well for the price. Yes the case is simple and can be slippery and fingerprint prone, but I don't care about that much. They do what I need them to do at the price point I wanted. Original (2/6/24): Pros: Lightweight. Long battery life. Excellent clarity with voices on calls or music. No worries about losing eartips or having wax clog the speakers. Nice audible tones for touch actions. Cons: Not much in the way of bass. Flat and somewhay shallow sound profile. Use with Soundcore app helps this a bit, especially with the Volume Enhancer option, but still does not truly add much compared to in-ear buds. Review: I work from home in a call center. I chose these for their light weight and battery life. I don't like being tethered to my desk by a wired headset, and wireless gaming headsets are bulky and expensive. They also don't hold up well over time. I have some excellent Soundcore earbuds thar are of the in-ear variety (Life A2 NC) which do all things very well but just don't have the battery life these do for use at work. So I'm often changing out pairs during a shift. Not good when you're busy with calls. Plus, recently I was sick and my ears were kinda plugged from that, so I decided that my in-ear buds needed a break. I decided on these as a much cheaper alternative to the new Aerofit line Soundcore put out. Being able to hear my surroundings better with these isn't necessarily a plus in a work context, but it's actually a wash anyway as I have my own office at home. These are good earbuds for a commute, for listening to a podcast, or taking calls casually or for work as I do. They handle vocals, highs, and mids well. But bass is lacking and the sound profile is not very rich or deep. So I can't recommend these for music much at all. I kind of expected that going in and, for my use case, it wasn't a deal breaker. Plus these are relatively cheap open-ear buds so use your common sense and don't buy the marketing hype. Good bass from small open-ear buds just isn't going to happen - at least not without paying a lot more. Tip: Don't jam these on your ears. They wear well but leave them just a tad loose at the front. It helps a lot, especially if you wear these for a while daily like I do.

Deliver on their Promise
The short version is that these deliver on their promise and they do so very well. I use these for running and commuting to work on foot in downtown Chicago, as well as for phone calls/video calls. I wanted to be able to hear my surroundings during those activities and to limit how much time I spend with something plugging my ear canal. For years I've used the kind of earbud that has a silicon tip and plugs your ear canal to block outside noise (which they do well) but I'm worried it could be impacting my hearing and/or ear canal, especially since I wear them so much. The PRIMARY reason I bought the Soundcore V30is (I think the V20is are their more recent model) AND the Soundcore Aerofit 2s (twice as expensive with some upgrades) was for marathon training and running long races. Below I've provided a comparison of each (they both receive 5* from me). DELIVERING ON THEIR OVERALL PROMISE: both do this very well! COMFORT: they're both very comfortable under any circumstances except when you have a beanie over them or anything that'll apply pressured to your ears - they're still comfortable enough to wear in those circumstances but not as comfortable. I think the Aerofit 2s are a smidge more comfortable and that's partially because they're a little smaller, thinner and more flexible/pliable/customizable in their fit. FIT: they both fit surprisingly well and securely - I've run marathons in both with sunglasses and a baseball cap/running hat on during the marathons and these fit and stayed comfortably. The Aerofit2s also fit better and more securely than the V30is for the same reasons as mentioned above. The ability to customize the fit of the Aerofit2s is one of the areas in which they separate themselves from the V30is in a meaningful way - if you have unique ears/non typical ears this is something you may want to consider. SWEAT RESISTANCE: both have done a really good job of managing sweat over prolonged periods of time (hours). The V30is took an inadvertent direct hit from a cup of water during a race - I thought they were going to fry and I'd be stuck with one earbud for 20 miles but they handled it like a champ! So far they've both been great on this front. BATTERY LIFE: as promised for both (very good). APP FEATURES: both have a robust app that helps with customizing their sound and touch controls which is handy. SOUND: I'm not an audiophile but for what these are I find them impressive in this department. The Aerofit2s have noticeably better sound but not meaningfully better (if that makes sense). Neither are going to be the best sounding earbuds out there because of their style so be mindful of that pending your use case for these. VOLUME: One issue some seem to have with this style of earbud is volume not being loud enough, these get plenty loud enough! MICs for Calls: I hate that most reviews don't address this. These both work well in most situations but - like every single pair of wireless earbuds I've ever owned at every price point - in a really noisy environment the clarity of them breaks down. BOTH work well in quiet environments and also relatively noisy ones (I tested both on my balcony with traffic below and a decent amount of wind - their clarity deteriorated slightly but both still worked really well. The Aerofit2s are superior in this area and this is likely the other area where they separate themselves in a noticeable way from the V30is (customizable fit being the first area). Other mentionable differences: the Aerofit2s case is more premium feeling and slightly smaller (both are bulkier than average for earbuds but not problematically so). The Aerofit2's case has wireless charging if that matters to you. The Aerofit2's bluetooth capabilities are better and allow you to be connected to multiple devices at once. CONCLUSION: if you are thinking of getting a set of over-ear earbuds primarily for working out, casual use, commuting, etc. then either are excellent choices and I'd probably save the $ and go with the V30is or V20is if premium sound isn't a priority for you. If you want something with better sound, a more customizable fit, some additional features and a better aesthetic when on then the Aerofit2s are IMO worth the extra $ (if those things matter to you).

Really like it
One of my favorite bluetooth headphones. They fit comfortably without a big heavy battery attached to the bottom, they don't actually enter the ear (I've had some issues with ear infections and I realized it was due to how inside-earbuds gather skin, gunk, and sometimes, bacteria and it's really hard to clean. With these, it literally eliminates the problem. The sound quality is really really high compared to other ones I've tried. No, they aren't full ear-covering headphones, obviously, but these don't heat up like those do and they don't have that bar that covers your head and can get really gross too, so the benefits outweigh the cons. I use a set of these at home and a set for work. They work beautifully. I don't like being snuck up on at work when I'm focused so these allow me to clearly and easily hear what's behind me. The touch button that you can modify via app to pause the music works, though it took a bit of time to get used to touch rather than a physical button. I can always hear whose walking up behind me. I've tested to see how much sound bleeds out of the headphones and honestly, if you listen to a reasonable (safe) volume, there is very little that other people can hear. I sit right next to someone at a separate cubicle and our dividers don't hit the ceiling so all the sounds can travel over. No one can hear anything. I tested by playing "Never Gonna Give You Up" at a normal listening volume and my coworker didn't even flinch, so I knew for a fact that he couldn't hear it. You can modify the EQ via the app as well so it really helps cover for the fact that these are essentially just normal speakers you're holding very close to your ears instead of being isolated by ear buds. I get pretty good quality music and YT videos are perfectly fine. Gaming also works fine, even allowing the simulated directional audio to work. Never had an issue with the app, connecting them to my phone or home computer, or battery life issues. These last a VERY long time and I love that. Don't need to charge during my lunch or risk the last few hours of work being painfully quiet. Has yet to interrupt my gaming sessions with loud "BATTERY LOW" announcements. If you are a jogger, these hang onto your ears very well (personal experience may vary based on ear shape, of course). The hook around your ear is soft and has enough give to easily wrap around your ear and it doesn't irritate the skin there for me. A+ product. Anker has pretty much taken over my whole life. I have several phone powerbanks from them. My vertical computer mouse for home and work is from them. Now my headphones are from them. Amazing company with trust-worthy products that last a long time. No, I'm not paid nor offered anything for my review. I just really like dependable brands.

great customer service - great replacement product
like the way the headset sits on the ear. good price. works well once the phone is connected. However now my big issue - it pairs with two phones but one has to disconnect the headset from one phone before it can be used by the other phone (Bluetooth off or disconnect needed) it is not picking up which phone is active at the time. Update 3/9/24 after leaving my initial review the Anker customer support team contacted me, offering refund or replacement - which was a very pleasant surprise :-). The replacement product AeroFit offers the dual connection setup (for two phones) via the mobile phone app. For privacy reasons I have a work phone, and a private phone and the dual connection mode enable me to use the AeroFit earphones without switching/disconnecting in Bluetooth. Both the V30i and the AeroFit open ear earphones have great sound and battery life, charge fast and are comfortable to wear. For me the dual connection was the critical point and I'm very pleased with the Anker Soundcore team offering me the AeroFit earphones replacement option. Cheers Reinhard

You Don’t Need to Spend Hundreds to Get This Good
I did not want something that went deep into my ears. I wanted to stay very aware of my surroundings, and I specifically liked the idea of an open-ear design rather than having something sealing my ears. I knew going in that this meant no traditional noise cancellation, and that was a trade-off I was completely comfortable with. There were a few things I was unsure about. I wasn’t sure about not having a screen to see the battery status, and I thought the charging case might be a bit too big. But I also really wanted a black pair, easy pairing with both Android and iOS, good sound quality, and excellent battery life. This checked all the boxes. The ear hooks are actually one of my favourite things about these. I have never understood how some people manage to keep traditional wireless earbuds securely in their ears. For me, that design has never worked, regardless of the brand or price. These stay put, and I don’t have to constantly adjust them. Pairing is easy. They connected without any drama, and while I find the initial pairing on iOS takes a tiny bit longer than AirPods, that is completely understandable and honestly not a bother at all. I’ve also been very impressed with the battery life. Sound quality is very good for this type of headphone. They aren’t designed to give you the completely isolated, sealed-in experience of traditional earbuds, but that’s exactly why I bought them. I can listen while still being aware of what’s happening around me. And that case I was worried about? It turned out not to be big at all. Everything feels well made, and the whole experience has been remarkably easy. Listen (pun absolutely intended): sometimes you don’t need to spend hundreds on the latest model to get an extremely solid solution. If you’re not an audiophile looking for perfection and simply want comfortable, secure, easy-to-use open-ear headphones with great battery life and good sound, these are a fantastic option. For me, they ticked all the boxes.
