I am just starting to learn about incense and have tried sandlewood and like it. How does Aloeswood differ from sandlewood in scent?

I like sandlewood too it's a little more earthy. Aloeswood is earthy too but has a bit more of a masculine scent, the smell is very clean and refreshing maybe a little on the cologne side but not overwhelming. I actually had some sandlewood incensence before this and my neighbor introduced me to aloeswood - this is the only incense I use now. I love it and recommend it to everyone. Ok so bottom line, clean earthy masculine scent without being too overwhelming or to incense-y .. I say get it!!

Hello. Is this incense massala or is it made with charcoal?

i honestly don't know for certain but i've found it to be a very clean-burning incense, more fragrance than smoke. i use it often.

What is the best aloeswood that has a scent closest to this one? I want at least 100 sticks. Japanese or Bosen preferred.

Hi, I would go to Shoyeido's site and look at the Premium page, their Kyra Aleoswood is excellent. If you want there are a few boxes on Amazon of Gentle Smile 1 bundle (35 sticks) for only $55, this is a really great price. Just bought 1 today, 6/24/17. You won't feel you just spent the rent or a car payment but defiantly jumped up in quality if you're serious. It's 1 of my favorites!
