HOWHY Hidden Hinge Hardware for Heavy Duty Wood Doors & Bookcase & Secret Doors, Maximum Load 330lb, Side Mounting

Drawing up plans for a secret storage area for power tools, computer equipment. Had a break in at the farm where thieves stole a lot of stuff. Thinking to put a recessed bookcase/hidden door (paper backs and cookbooks!) with storage area behind. Found these. After looking the parts over: seem very sturdy. Fit and finish look good, no obvious issues. All the parts were there, as well as the instruction sheet. It's a complete set. I was concerned enough with the weight of the books on the shelves - I weighed the books. If I don't overload the shelves, it will be well under 300 lbs. Now husband has to build the custom sized recessed bookcase/door. We'll make the shelf depth slightly smaller than normal bookcases. Will update once the project is done.

This hidden hinge is very sturdy and will support a heavy weight like a door or bookcase but it was a little challenging to install. Part of the top hinge needs to raise and lower into the header beam which meant drilling a spot for it to move. It wasn't a problem it just a bit to figure out.

These hinges made it easy to implement as I was doing a significant remodel of my home. The installation was very straightforward and they function nicely. Now I have a cool hidden room that is still easy to access when desired.

I am still designing the bookcase for the entrance to my secret lair. I needed to order this hardware to finish the design. All of the parts look sturdy and feel heavy enough to handle the 330 lbs it is rated for. The instructions are adequate and include photos to help with the stilted English translation. My favorite part of the instructions is the caveat that the door is not included (good to know. Who knows what can be packed into a 4"x8" box these days?). I'll update this when my secret lair has been completed.

I haven't yet had a chance to utilize these as I am still in the process of designing the entertainment stand/system that I am planning on using these in.... But these are exactly what I was looking for and I don't see any reason they couldn't work out as I have planned. I will add some photos when it's all been built, and will show exactly where I used these/what I used them for.

These are great quality heavy duty hinges for a hidden door. I've always wanted a hidden door bookcase and now I can finally have that! The house is still under construction, so its not installed yet, but I have no doubt these hinges can do what they claim. These are rated for over 800lbs, which should be adequate for my project. Clear instructions with color photos are included.

This hidden door hinge hardware is very heavy. They are well made and seem very strong. Our plans for our hidden doorway has been delayed but have no concern that these hinges will work great. Comes with everything that is needed. Also, has instructions with pictures that make it easy to understand. Can't wait to get these and our bookcase door installed.

I'm in in the process of building a hidden bookshelf. Originally acquired a lighter duty hidden hinge and I was approaching the weight limit of that hinge if I considered weight of items on the bookshelf. This one gives me that extra buffer having the 350lbs capacity. Feels very sturdy and well made.

Love these! I wanted to create a hidden door in my living room to my pantry and this does the job nicely! I attached it to a standard door, styled it how I wanted it to match the wood slat wall, and it was so easy. It slides nice and smooth, and doesn't catch at all. It's not bearing a bunch of weight (it's a regular door), but it feels very sturdy, and I think it could hold a LOT more (like a bookshelf).

Always wanted to hide a room behind a storage shelf, well now I have one. Was pretty easy to install, but I am in construction. Not sure how easy it would be for someone that isn't in the trade. 42.99 is a bit expensive for what it is.

These are exactly as described: good quality, heavy-duty pivot hinges that can support a good amount of weight. Perfect with my upcoming basement renovation for use on my furnace room door that will have some shelves on it.
