Nice design idea and that where it ends. The clock numbers began randomly falling off after 7 months.

I get a lot of compliments on this clock. The only problem is that it takes a minute for the six to flip to seven so the time is wrong for a minute and it can be confusing.

Edit: got the defective unit replaced, works perfectly! The hour takes a few minutes to click over. For instance, 2:59 doesn't become 3:00, it becomes 2:00, 2:01, 2:03, and then maybe 3:04 (may take even longer sometimes).

I love the aesthetic of this flip clock and actually own another very similar one from the same brand that works flawlessly. Unfortunately, this particular unit seems to have a defect with the hour flip mechanism. Instead of flipping over at the start of the new hour, it holds the previous hour for an extra 30 minutes—so for example, it’ll stay on “6:00” until 6:30 before finally flipping to “7:00.” It’s a great concept and a stylish piece, but the inaccuracy makes it unreliable as a clock. Hoping this was just a rare quality control issue, since my other one works perfectly.
