Reliable Yogurt culture
My homemade yogurt turns out every time. Its more reliable than using a store bought yogurt portion

My Go To Yogurt Culture
I have used this yogurt culture many over several years. It is my go to culture. Works every time. I have many fails when using yogurt from grocery store for my culture. I love making my own yogurt because I know what is in it. Nothing but milk and culture. Produces a thick Greek style when I use organic half and half. Not bitter at all.

It works
This was my first time ever to make yogurt but it was very easy and was successful. Reviews stating that it does not work likely did not follow instructions . I used whole cow milk. Two packets to a gallon of milk and followed the instructions and yogurt turned out great. I used a heated electric blanket to incubate. I just wrapped the blanket around the pot and set the blanket heat level to 5 which is medium, and 180ยฐ. This is a tart yogurt so even though the description does not state it, I think it's a Bulgarian yogurt because it's very tangy/ tart. If you don't like a very tart yogurt I would suggest getting a creamy or a sweet yogurt culture instead. For me though, I would buy again

Works like wonder
I always have my own yogurt culture so when I forgot to save some I was dreading not being able to make yogurt. I was skeptical when I bought these but this culture actually works wonderfully. Itโs easy to use just like home grown culture, does not smell and makes perfect yoghurt. I think you get good value for money. I have only used one sachet up to now as I was able to save some culture and reuse it but now if I forget there is some in the pantry to restart.

Recommended quantity doesn't make the yogurt
I have to use 1 and a half the amount recommended in order to get the yogurt set. Even after 8 hours with the amount they recommended yogurt won't work. Use double or 1 and half.

Did not work as described
What a waste of my money, time and efforts.! Not to mention the wasted milk. This starter did NOT work. I followed every direction step by step. This is not my first time making yogurt. But I had to throw all the batches because the milk did not even begin to thicken even 24 hours later. There's no return on this and no way to contact seller. Do yourself a favor and buy a different brand!

Works just as they described!!
I made a quart of yogurt in my Instapot and set it for 12 hours. I added 1 packet of the enzyme. The yogurt came out perfectโฆcreamy and rich! The taste was just right, not too sour. Iโm totally happy with the product and the price.

Makes a reliable non-dairy yogurt!
The only shop bought non-dairy yogurt that I regularly buy is the "Coconut Collective" one. The yogurt has a nice creamy flavour and firm texture. The fly in the ointment is that it has become quite expensive. I have tried on multiple occasions to culture my own non-dairy yogurts with varying degrees of success. By the time you factor in the cost of the milk and culture a "failure" can be an expensive waste of money. I have finally found a reliable recipe for homemade non-dairy that works. I use Alpro UHT soya milk with extra protein using Yogourmet Yogurt Starters. I also add half a cup of cashews liquidised in some of the milk. It's best to soak the cashews overnight to soften them. To make a thicker product I filter the yogurt through a yougurt sieve. If you leave the yogurt in the sieve for 24 hours or more the final product can be very thick, akin to clotted cream. Please note that the Yogourmet Yogurt Starter does contain milk. If you want to make strictly vegan yogurts you may have to look elsewhere. The one thing I don't like about using soya milk is that yogurts made using it can have a distinct soya "twang". My initial results suggest that the soya twang can be minimised by fermenting the yogurt for no longer than necessary.
