After posting a 1-star review, xTool reached out to let me know that the multiple customer support emails that I had initially received were AI generated and apologized for the inadequate responses and incorrect guidance. The base plate sits in the channels of the riser base (not screwed to the base), and the honeycomb panel just sits on the base plate. So now there are openings in the whole system once the riser base is installed, and this changes it from a class 1 laser engraver to a class 4 and would prevent it from being used at craft fairs within view from the public without proper shielding for the eyes. With this new information, I have upgraded this review to a 5-star.

I recently added the riser bed to my laser engraving machine, and it has significantly enhanced my engraving capabilities. Super easy setup

Heavy duty , easy to assemble

I did a ton of research on this product before I purchased this and I still am not totally satisfied. I have the xtool s1 with the air purifier from x tool that I use inside. It was perfectly fine with no harsh chemical smells until I put the riser on. The riser has no bottom and does not make a seal changing the category of the laser. The smells from the lazer leak put around the bottom and the creases of the riser as it pushes open on the sides to allow larger wood to pass thru. After research I decided to use painters tape around the creases and edge to seal some of them to reduce the smell. While it worked some you can still smell it. My husband suggested to take it on and off when im not using the tumbler rotary function but it is way to heavy and a process to do that. Wish there was a option from xtool for a riser that is sealed and safe.

Works perfectly in rising my S1 for the rotary accessory. It came directly from XTool and arrived in tow days. Very happy.
