Sturdy Covers AC Defender - Window Air Conditioner Unit Cover - AC Cover

Very strong and sturdy. Well made. Fits my new GE window air conditioner like a glove, just like it was made for it. It was very easy to install, even though I had to put two cuts in it because of the window sill braces. The straps were a bit of a challenge but only because I chose to put the clasps beneath, to keep them out of the direct weather since they were plastic. The cover fits over the top, bottom, and both sides, unlike the many plastic or lightweight covers I've been used to. This cover should last for years!

Once I got my order right, this was just what I wanted - a quality product. My only problem was that the website defaults to Size Medium, and the size that you actually order is NOT shown in the order itself. I set my first order to Large, and then cancelled and went back to the page to look at something else about the product. I decided I had it right to begin with and put the product back in my shopping cart without realizing the page had defaulted back to Medium. I didn't notice that the price had gone down two dollars, (Medium is a little cheaper), and the size I was ordering IS NOT shown on the order itself, so the only way to tell what size you are actually ordering when you review your order is by the price. In the end, I had to return my Medium because it did not fit and I ordered the correct size. All the shipping back and forth was free with Prime, so there was no real cost and minimal hassle. I am very happy with the product.

The fit was s little off ( my measurements) but we managed to install it and very happy with it. Our air conditioner is smaller than the cover but it works especially with the straps. It's much more sturdier and heavier than I thought it would be and I am very pleased with it . I feel the durability of it should last quite a while.

Read dozens of reviews to find one that would last. Picked a size an inch or two larger in all directions. VERY sturdy material - should last many years. Fits well = plenty of leeway so I will be able to place over a/c (upper apartment window). Yes, I will have to slit the material to fit over the window brace, but the 2 straps with buckles should then hold the item on well and keep the flaps in place. I may sew the straps in place so I don't risk dropping them when installing / removing, but prefer to make that decision vs. buying one with set strap placement. Very pleased with purchase.

I just installed this cover today for the first time. It felt strong and sturdy. I liked that there was a long strap that was not attached to the cover. It made it very easy to secure the cover and I didn't even touch the roll of duct tape I had. I don't remember ever installing an a/c cover where I didn't feel the need to secure it with duct tape. I was very happy with the cover.

The product is exactly as described; certainly looks like it will keep out wind and rain and snow. However, neither this, nor other items available went just a bit further. My brand new GE window A/C is 15.75 inches (not 15) high and 21.5 (not 21) inches wide so I had to go big. I can live with it but can't help wondering if the shops selling these aren't keeping up with the technology. Also, the plastic buckles on the straps could be more heavy duty (bigger?) to increase the likelihood they will withstand freezing winters. I have my fingers crossed.

I just installed it last Oct. 21, 2018 so I have no idea how durable it is but based on other reviews, it is said to be durable. The inside is something like leather or rubber-coated which makes it waterproof. Nicely-made actually. Installation is very easy. Just secure the cover with the 2 included belts to secure it from strong winds or from falling.

This item is very well made. But I ordered it too small and forgot to return it in a timely manor.
